Good video by the BBC on how Villa went from Europe to relegation, or 'Rotterdam to Rotherham' as the fans are putting it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36062892

It doesn't cover all of the things we've been through in recent years though - captains getting cancer (Petrov), important players forced to retire early (Laursen, Petrov) captains lying to the fans (Barry, Delph), players getting high (Ireland, Grealish, Agbonlahor), nightclub brawls, going months without scoring goals, 8-0 defeats, no money, worst home form in the history of the club...

'Death of a thousand cuts' is quite fitting. It's been a miserable few years.

Team selection vs Saints:

Guzan, Hutton, Richards, Lescott, Cissokho, Sanchez, Westwood, Gana, Bacuna, Ayew, Sinclair

We're relegated now and have nothing to play for. Why not put a couple of youngsters in the team? Eric Black has just selected the exact same team that got us relegated. Why? What the fuck?

Newcastle drawing with Liverpool today is enough to convince me Norwich are going down again.

Yeah, that result and their win last week might see them through. Come down to the Championship with us Daz, it'll be a laugh.

First FA Cup final since 2004 for Manchester United but Everton mustered up a good second half performance and left United struggling towards the end. Notable mentions of course for De Gea and his standard awesomeness (penalty was hit hard by Lukaku who tbh, I don't see what the fuss over is if his fee is reported to be 67m, wasted two chances earlier on and not the performance needed from him), Front three were good and Fellaini had a good game. Everton were poor first half and had Lingard had his shooting boots on (which tbf he's struggling to regularly locate atm) then it could have been finished before the equalised. Martinez is struggling now and with a new majority shareholder, it's unlikely he'll be there next year.

Prime example of Norwich's season today.

Play well enough to get a result. Don't have a good enough striker to finish the numerous chances created. Switch off defensively and give away a sloppy goal. Don't have the bottle to take the game by the balls and get back into it after we go behind. Far too many 1-0 defeats like that this season, and it's entirely why we're going down.
