USA's world cup draw... ouch.

So I don't know how many of you were paying attention to World Cup drawings, but the USA got put in the same grouping as Germany and Portugal, as well as a feisty Ghana team...

yep, they're not making it out of that one.

Yeah, that's a pretty bad draw. Germany and Portugal are two great teams, and Ghana aren't bad either. However, the pressures off for USA - no one will expect them to win these matches so they might as well have a good go at it.

Klinsmann vs. Low. The men were coach and assistant coach of Germany in 2006 and Klinsmann faces a tough task but yeah USA have no pressure but they might not qualify but give a good account of themselves.

Think that's bad? Australia is in the same draw as Spain and the Netherlands.

Do Australia have any good players these days? I haven't heard much from them since the days of Harry Kewell and Mark Viduka :lol

I honestly cannot think of a single Australian player right now.

According to Wikipedia, Lucas Neill and Tim Cahill are still playing for them. That's about it.

Only one I know of is Matt McKay, who couldn't get a game at Rangers a couple of years ago.

Of those three teams the USA should be most afraid of Ghana. They are American kryptonite.

And speaking of groups of death, the fuck is with my team(France) having to go toe to toe with soccer giants like Switzerland, Ecuador and Honduras. Hopefully the French players take this a lot more seriously than I am because I am cocky as fuck and on a horse higher than heaven. Honduras, Ecuador and Switzerland aren't the best teams but if you take them likely they can take points from you.

You think thats bad Wales' group is horrific...

USA will finish 2nd, mark my words... draw again port, beat Ghana and draw to Germany.

It's going to be a huge task which is a shame because I think a good solid run in the WC could of helped the popularity of football (soccer) in america

No group at all?. :lol They managed to finish below us in qualifying somehow. As for the USA that is awfully optimistic.

That is more than optimistic. It's probably in jest but far from realistic. USA's best possible point total is 4 and that's with a win over Ghana and a draw against either Portugal(most likely) or Germany. USA isn't a bad team but this isn't England, Algeria and Slovenia.

Last time I saw them play they were pretty uninspiring, granted it was a friendly but when you can't beat Scotland nowadays you've got problems. :lol

We're fucked. And if we pull a miracle and somehow finish second in the group, we would still end up playing Brazil in the round of 16.

Yeah I see a lot of people talking about Germany and Portugal but Ghana has historically been a huge pain in the ass for us. Wouldn't be shocked to see us lose to them again.

Americans are going to have to play out of their minds to get through this thing.
