My dad was there when he broke his leg.

They had to put sawdust on the pitch as there was so much blood. He said the crowd were silent and all you could hear was Busst crying in pain, with the players screaming for the medics to run over. Peter Schmeichel walked behind his goal and was sick everywhere, and he, Denis Irwin and Brian McClair received counselling for several months after the game.

It's easily the most horrifying injury I've seen in the sport.
