Austria, Serbia, Ireland, Moldova, Georgia all drawn for England, must easier groups out there... Like *shocker* England's group but i'm confident that we could top that group and go into the WC with all our current 19-22 year old players all being first team starters and our man Bale in the peak of his career aged 29/30 all in all we're going to win the World Cup.

I don't even understand how Ireland caught such an easy draw for this one. Surely there should be some half decent teams in the group somewhere, right?

I'm just saying it seems like we caught a really lucky draw. I don't follow football much, but from what I know there aren't any really top class teams in that group. Which means it'll be our best chance to qualify in years. But we still probably won't, because our football team have failed at almost everything for over a decade now.

Considering how well Northern Ireland are doing, they've got a tough group but England should win the group with Scotland fighting for a play off.

Wales/ROI probably fight for a play off place with Serbia winning the group.

Austria are capable of turning over the Welsh/Irish on the day though, wouldn't call that an easy group for either Country. I'm a bit gutted with that really, in an ideal world I'd like to see all the Home Nations qualify for the major tournaments (bar Scotland, sorry James) so it's a bummer it'll likely be one or the other.

I'm not under any illusions of thinking we'll win the group, just that the match days against the 'auld enemy' will be a right laugh, especially since it's a competitive fixture instead of a friendly. Getting into the playoffs seems achievable, the Scotland side has been looking better than it has in a long time and if the Tartan Army smell the possibility of the World Cup for the first time in ages they'll have a hell of a support cheering them on.

I'll go out on a limb and say you'll make it through. Any team with Super Barry Bannan pulling the strings in midfield stands a chance.
