June 2015 Fútbol/Football Discussion: What to do...

Postby AkydefGoldberg » Jun 01, '15, 7:13 am

So, we've got the CL final which I might, unfortunately, have to miss for a family wedding but might skip it to watch the two on one battle (Evra/Chiellini vs. Suarez).

Copa America is on (not sure which channel) so that might be worth a watch as well.

Besides the transfer seasons, it's going to be a quiet one in terms of football action.

Can you imagine going home to your dad, knowing he'd seen a video of you getting rimmed by a Thai prostitute?

The video of their orgy was doing the rounds on Twitter and it's the most homoerotic thing I've ever seen. How and why do blokes even organise that shit? If two of my mates seriously suggested going back to a hotel room and getting rimmed by Thai prostitutes I'd seriously reconsider what I was doing hanging around with these people. I wouldn't agree to it and bloody film it, while shouting racist abuse at the prostitutes for good measure. And I'm not a professional footballer either (although James Pearson probably wouldn't be if it wasn't for his dad)

Christ alive.

News in briefs in light of the Blatter resignation

-Benitez to be announced as Real Madrid manager tomorrow morning
-Liverpool, as expected, are to stick with Rodgers but expect a better season coming up (wonder how long he has left - will he survive the season?)
-Belgian boys Lukaku and Benteke giving out mixed noises on their club futures. Laughable is Lukaku, who seems to be blaming Martinez' tactical decisions and hinting he wants to be playing in big games after Everton forked out £28m for him not so long ago.

A guy a work, who is a Liverpool fan, wants Barcelona to win on Saturday purely because it will be Chiellini and Evra going up against Suarez and he wants him to, in his words, abuse them. I'm all for showing support to your former players. But, he did kind of racially abuse and bite those guys. I really don't think you can be angry at them.

In all fairness to him, Martinez isn't a good tactician. Especially defensively, where his only idea is to sign Alcaraz and then ignore the defence for the rest of the campaign. Lukaku has been shite this season though.

As for Benteke, if he goes then so be it. I can't blame him.

So Benitez takes Napoli to 5th after they finished 2nd, while spending close to 100 million, and he gets the Real Madrid job over the fired Ancelotti who just won the CL. 1 "bad" season and he gets tossed, for losing in the CL semis and coming in 2nd in the league. Cutthroat world. Looks like he has the Milan job now, but apparently he declined. Sucks for them, after sacking Allegri for a shit season and he goes to Juventus to potentially win both Serie A and CL trophies. :lol

Interesting to see the turnout for the Scotland friendly against Qatar tomorrow. Been a lot of talk of boycotting the match in protest of the bullshit they've got going for World Cup prep. I'd imagine for those who do show up it'll be pelters galore.

As much as there might be an element of mistrust relating to the Qatar WC team, think it'd be wrong to protest against the Qatar team or anything to happen that takes away from the game. Lesser playing nations like Qatar need exposure to other teams.

Forgotten in all of the FIFA shenanigans that it's ROI v England on Sunday in Dublin - hopefully it's a less traumatic game than the last one but the CL final on Saturday which I might have to miss!

Up 1-0 at Half Time against Qatar off a goal by Matt Ritchie, a player I'd never heard of before today but he's been the best on the pitch. Seems he'll be in the Premier League next season with Bournemouth, I'll be keeping an eye on him from now on.

I don't think he'd been to Scotland before tonight!

Big game coming up - think they'll get a draw with ROI I reckon.

USA beat the Netherlands today 4-3 after falling down 3-1. College players from Stanford and Hawaii were vital in the goals. :lol

CL final tonight

I'd gone for Barcelona 3-1 but tempted to change to 2-1 Juventus. Just feel an "upset" could be on the cards tonight.

Scoreline closer than the game was. Juventus at one point had momentum but Barcelona's final quality told in the end.

Feel for Buffon and Pirlo especially, more so the former, went through demotion and promotion with Juventus and would have capped off his club career.

This game sealed it for me - I fucking hate Neymar.

He tries so hard to be "swag". Every photo I've seen of him in the kit room, every clip I've seen of him walking into the stadium, he's trying so, so hard. He's there with his suit and Nike trainers, his Dr Dre Beats headphones and his stupid haircut, obnoxiously chewing gum with his mouth open and begging to be the centre of attention. It's like he's a 14 year old poser in the body of a 25(?) year old footballer. People criticised Beckham and Ronaldo for things like this, but they were never as irritating and ridiculous looking as Neymar.

Fucking look at the cunt: http://m.imgur.com/iAbdRW6

^Agree but luckily it hasn't affected him on the pitch. When it starts to that's when they start to go downhill.

He was more annoying when he was at Santos and all the hype surrounding him but last season was a tad mixed but this year hasn't done too badly.

Neymar is the equivalent of Diddy Kong. While everyone generally likes Donkey Kong (Messi) he has his annoying Neymar by his side. Neymar also looks like Uub in dragon ball.

Just thought I'd leave this here. What a beautiful, beautiful day. Still have the bruises from celebrating the second goal.

So Steve McClaren appointed Newcastle manager.

-Gets a three year deal but could be EIGHT (Sounds familiar..)
-Gets a place on the board replacing Ashley who has left it but remains, unfortunately for the fans, its owner.
-Press briefing today limited to SSN/Daily Mirror and local newspapers not included.

Yup, so much for optimism after that 2min Ashley interview.

Wonder how Schteev's Geordie accent is like?
