Unless news has broke within the last hour or so, I think Berbatov is only a rumour at this point.

If Berbatov AND Adebayor sign, we'd have like 6 strikers. Those two would also be the laziest strikeforce in the league.

Sky are saying it'll be sorted by Monday, don't go to them often for news so not sure how reliable they are for this kind of thing. As for Adebayor, did Tim not manage to get him off his arse in his time at Spurs?

He did, but Adebayor is still a lazy, expensive headcase who seems to blame everyone else for his failures. I wouldn't want him in the dressing room, but it looks like it'll be happening.

There's no need for Berbatov though. We'd have Agbonlahor, Kozak, Gestede, Adebayor, Ayew, Berbatov and Robinson. Granted, Robinson might go out on loan and Ayew might play on the wing, but I have no idea how Tim plans on incorporating the rest of them unless he plays a 3-2-5 or something.

Di Maria officially to PSG. Why did United even sign him in the first place.

We've sold Dzeko to Roma and Jovetic to Inter. Can't help but worry we will need more depth at ST if Aguero gets hurt again, but it looks like Pellegrini is sticking with a 1 up front formation.

^ Took a wee peek at the squad on wikipedia, you've still got Bony as a backup I suppose and it seems that Iheanacho has been promoted to the first team and doing alright in pre-season. Probably still wanting to bring in a bit of quality though I'd have to imagine.

Apparently the Adebayor to Villa deal is off, as he doesn't want to move to the Midlands.

Having lived there most of my life, I can't say I blame him.

LVG wanted Di Maria to have a similiar impact as Robben did on his Holland team yet he realised ADM wasn't that type of player to fit into his "philosophy" so he shoved him around an ultimately, didn't work out. ADM didn't help his cause by writing a love letter to Real fans few days after signing for United saying he was forced out; clearly wanted to join PSG but they couldn't sign him due to FFP; burglary at his home affected his family who then wanted to leave to another country; Di Maria happy to go off injured at any opportunity rather than play on and finally not joining up with the squad as requested and hiding in Doha. Yet United tweeted him well for the future and not RVP who won them the 20th title.

United should have hard balled more when trying to sign ADM - but were too quick to spend £59.7m when they could have got him for less but got a decent amount back. Hopefully Pedro will be a more suitable option to fit into the team's style.

Most ridiculous transfer rumour of Norwich's season was Juan Fernando Quintero. As far as speculation goes, I'd rather Quintero than the likes of Craig Mackail-Smith, who we were perpetually linked with the last three Premier League transfer windows we were apart of.

There were also a few deluded Norwich fans who didn't think Quintero would displace Wes Hoolahan in our side ... fucking can't make this stuff up.

Reports in Spain saying that Villa have signed Adama Traore from Barcelona.

Sherwood seems to love midfielders.

huge signing if true, one of the top talents in their youth academy, without a doubt there is a buy back clause in the transfer they do it on all their young players when selling them

There's almost certainly a buy-back, but still. He's flown in for talks today apparently:

Rangers sign Spurs youngsters Nathan Oduwa and Dominic Ball on loan. Folk aren't saying much about Ball so assuming he'll be defensive cover and nothing more. Oduwa looks an exciting player with a lot of flair, someone posted this cheeky wee goal and I'm immediately glad to have him. :P

I've heard good things about Oduwa, not sure who Dominic Ball is though.

Gary Hooper would be a good signing for you lot. More threatening than Heskey at least :P

Bradford rejected Jussi Jaaskelainen so they could instead sign Chris Kirkland.

Jussi then signed for Wigan, Kirkland pulled out at the 11th hour to sign for Preston.

Preston's number one is Bradford's keeper from last season, Jordan Pickford.

Chris Kirkland rejected Bradford to sit on Preston's bench.

Football favs. Sometimes they just make me laugh.

Stoke have signed Shaquiri (sp?) and all of a sudden some of their fans think they have a shot of finishing in the top five.
