I think he stays. Because Pep isn't available and/or other candidates aren't the right fit for them.

If he does, if City don't make top four, then Vieira gets promoted for a year.

I would have thought that but apparently Simeone doesn't fit the "holistic" profile that City's director of football wants and hence, they are waiting for Pep.

Klopp wouldn't fancy taking over a big, cash rich club. Probably prefers Arsenal IMO.
