LOL

Rooney made that goal - in a way, it's a safety net that he's in the team when we're playing so ineffectively because that aggressive nature of his means he'll fight till the end, good finish by Young. Thought he'd screw it up.

We had control tbh, but that's all we had. No real incisiveness and Blind is no Carrick. Herrera was poor and Di Maria, needs a break. He's struggling.

Everton should really be considering Roberto Martinez' future.

Are they in a relegation battle? I begin to question whether them still being in the Europa League bodes well for them...

He's got to win the EL as if their league position continues to slip, the pressure will be on but think Kenwright will be hesitant to sack based on what he pulled off last season.

It seems he's man-management is up in the air, mixed decisions in relation to that. Which probably is why the players aren't rooting for him as much as last season.

They're only three points ahead of Villa. They've won 1 of their last 12.

Martinez sure does have a good reputation for someone who's been almost always fighting relegation throughout his Premier League career.

Leave it to Villa's fans to ruin the day by invading the pitch early. Embarrassing.

Great performance. Sherwood has got us playing well. As for the league though, we still have a lot of work to do and could still go down. Some terrible refereeing on display tonight though.

FA Cup win or league survival?

Former option takes into account your views in another thread for Villa to go down, re-build, come back up etc.

That Grealish dive was woeful man, the fact that there's pundits arguing he was justified going down there is ridiculous.

I'm not sure which I'd take at this point in time. I desperately want Lerner to piss off and I think he will if we go down, he'll probably want to wash his hands of the club and take a loss - especially as the fans would tear him to pieces if we went down while he was still at the helm. It's his fault we're in this position in the first place.

If we do go down, I think we'd be great in the Championship with Sherwood in charge, especially if a new chairman was on the scene as well. The club need shaking up and getting relegated might be the catalyst for that.

Also I agree on Grealish - talented kid, but I have no idea why he leapt on the floor like that.

Baggies fans reportedly began ripping out seats in the away end after Yacob was sent off. Cunts.

Still embarrassed about the fans who invaded the pitch before the end. Ruined my day tbh, the fans and the atmosphere were incredible before that. I was looking forward to see Villa getting some positive press for a change, but no doubt the papers will focus on the early pitch invasion.

@The Legend - unfortunately Randy Lerner and 'Tactics Tim' Sherwood have beaten your boys twice in the space of a week. Were you watching? If not, you missed a great game.

I don't think the invasion was a bad thing - FA Cup has taken so many knocks over the years, helps show what it means to fans but I'd say this was more of a bragging rights sort of celebration and to top off the jubilation of winning in midweek.

But, erm, WTF is this Porky?

Am I the only one that is against the replays in the FA Cup? I think they should switch it to just extra time and pens.
