Inevitable though wasn't it? I'm pissed that Steph Roche didn't win the Goal of the Year when it was clearly the more technically brilliant strike, imagine what that could have done for Women's football? RVP's header was better than Rodriguez's strike IMO.

Agreed, I wouldn't even have had Rodriguez' strike on the shortlist. Much better goals were left out.

LMFAO.

Roy Hodgson's selections for the Ballon d'Or have been revealed - he didn't vote for Messi OR Ronaldo

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

If that just doesn't sum up everything wrong with having Hodgson in charge of England I'm not sure what else does. His choices were;

1. Mascherano
2. Lahm
3. Neuer

I'm genuinely speechless at that. What even? :facepalm

Some of the decisions reflect badly on the players/coaches who voted for these.

Simeone deserved the coach of the year, namely for winning La Liga and creating a tremendous work ethic with Atletico.

Most of the players, I imagine, only watched the WC last year hence the ridiculous inclusion of Luiz and Iniesta. Godin and Modric would have been included respectively. I guarantee had these votes been named by players predominantly in Europe rather than the whole world, the results would have been more closer to what we have all seen this past year.

Disappointed Ronaldo's end of speech battlecry was not a Ric Flair 'Wooooo1" complete with the Nature Boy Strut..

Hodgson - LMAO. Mascherano, the player he fell out with at Liverpool. Made that vote based on his performances at the WC. Would have understood Lahm being his choice.
