Obviously massively disappointed to go out like that but couldn't be more proud of my team, it took Liverpool two games with their starting 11 to beat us, Coutinho's wages alone covers the entire Bolton starting 11 and subs, one stupid mistake from Neil Danns and one absolute piece of genius from Coutinho were the difference tonight, Lonergan, Wheater, Ream & Clough were all superb, onwards and upwards with a tough game against Derby on the weekend.

^Yeah, positives for Bolton. Just lacked that cutting edge in the final third. Had Gudjohnsen made it 2-0, think they'd have seen the game out.

Clough looks very promising though. Bolton could sell him for decent money in the future if he develops.

Clough is looking better and better every game, we've gone world class player on our hands, hopefully he doesn't see the stars and try and jump to a bigger side who'll force him into u21 games... Josh Vela is another who now he's getting a run of games is proving to be a fantastic player from our academy.... the future is starting to look bright for the club with Kellet, Vela, Clough all making their way through.

Clough is not a "world class player" and never will be. He's a decent prospect at best. Let's not get silly now.

Cristiano Ronaldo, 30 years old today.

The days when a step over would end up with a poor delivery is a far, far time ago considering his vast improvement.

I guess £80m in 2009 is big money but he could, had United known how good he would become, have gone for so much more. Not that it would have meant that Fergie would not have gone for Valencia, Owen and Obertan.
