The fact that QPR are 5th is an absolute disgrace.

QPR is just a shit show of a club.

QPR is just a shit show of a club.

It's also no coincidence that Harry Redknapp has a history of bankrupting clubs. Southampton, Portsmouth, and now QPR have all been bankrupted by him. In each occasion, he had aging players on massive contracts who failed to perform, leading to the club getting relegated and selling off their best players on the cheap. It took Southampton 10 years to recover, and it looks like it'll take Portsmouth even longer. As for QPR and their debts, who knows.

Miraculously, he's still considered somewhat of a shrewd businessman in the transfer market. Almost every Blues fan I know seemed happy with his appointment. It's bizarre.

Speaking of Redknapp, sounds like he's after Aberdeen midfielder Kenny McLean. He's been a solid performer, likely to be a proper cheap signing and I'd expect he would do very well, in this case at least it legitimately would be some shrewd business from Harry. :lol

Rangers were showing some interest supposedly but they were obviously not that keen to do business considering we just signed their captain on a free a month ago and we're their closest rivals in the league. On the plus side it sounds like we've made a more serious offer for Dorrans and he wants to come up here so should be done in the near future.

Would round out our midfield nicely, will be pleasant to actually have some depth in the squad. More often than not last year slack performances still meant a place in the team the following week because of our lack of options.

Managed a quiet win over Progres on Thursday. Aside from a very pleasing performance from Niko Kranjcar it wasn't anything phenomenal, we dominated the entirety of the game but the lack of time this team has had together meant that there was little end product. Martyn Waghorn seems more out of his depth every time I see him, he's a hard working player but it's become readily apparent he's needing moved on.

Would expect Rangers to go through next week. Second round almost certainly against AEL Limassol of Cyprus, who I know nothing about. Assuming they progress the third round looks daunting, not many of those seeded teams that I fancy playing, least of all Zenit considering the last time we played them in Europe.

Ah now, it can easily be both. Belter of a signing mind you.

Welp, went out of Europe tonight against a team who, before now, had never won a game in the competition.

Bloody hell. Rangers..

Pressure ramped up on the new manager before the season has started, maybe a blessing in disguise as Europa League games takes its toll eventually but still..

Getting put out by Progres is a fucking red neck, I'm not going to hunt Pedro until I see how the league pans out though. Just confirmed the Dorrans signing today, obviously a very tidy player and I know it doesn't really mean much on the pitch but it is nice to have players who support the club. :P

The board have given Pedro far more money to spend than they gave the Loaf (who just signed Barrie McKay yesterday actually for Forest, seems Pedro didn't like his attitude and wanted him gone) so obviously expecting more of a competitive showing in the league this year. I still can not say I'm confident we have a title winning team but a competent showing, provide more of an honest challenge at the top, earn another crack at Europe and don't bottle it this time is all I can ask from the team.

Mino Raiola is Manchester United's best employee in the last year: brought Ibrahimovic, Mkhitaryan and Pogba to the club last summer and now it's looking like he will make more money from bringing Lukaku to United.

I don't know why there's a small bit of admiration for the tj way he does business compared to the suave, clean shaven agents like Jorge Mendes and the like.

£75 million with another £15 million in add-ons, I've read.

He's a good player, but that's a crazy amount of money.

Peter Crouch is being linked with Villa. He'd be a decent option if we didn't already have Kodjia, Hogan, and McCormack. Crouch would definitely score a few in the Championship but I wouldn't even pick him above some of the youth prospects.

Signing Crouch would also signify another season of Bruceball, sadly.

You and @SlightlyJames are competing for the most embarrassing result of the week, it seems.

It'll becoming a regular thing now - players in the categories below Messi/Ronaldo will be going for that kind of money. Morata was quoted at 78m; Naby Keita, at 22, has a value of 70m but long as PL clubs getting the dough in one way, clubs abroad will do whatever to make the most comes out of the other way.

Micah Richards is shite. I just watched him struggle in a pre-season friendly against Kidderminster, who were fielding three trialists in attack. He's not good enough for the Championship, and he wouldn't even stand out in League One.

I've got mates who see him out and about occasionally. Last I heard he was sat in Nando's on his own tucking into a burger. Someone on Reddit allegedly saw him going into a cinema recently with two bags of M&M's and a huge bottle of lucozade.

His career peaked when he was 18 and it's been downhill ever since. It's kind of sad. I say 'kind of' as he still earns twice my yearly salary each week warming a bench.

Everton are bidding £40m for Gylfi Sigurdsson at Swansea, who want £50m. Insane fees but it will continue to rise and rise. £200m footballer won't be far away at his rate!

Didn't hear about this Star Sixes thing being on until just now. Heard Barry Ferguson was doing really well for Scotland. Sky Sports 1, worth a watch, been quite fun.

Yeah, I briefly watched it last night in time to see Brazil's 'Animal', Julio Baptista (was tempted to break out into a Batista chant in the living room, I have to say) fire a rocket past the Chinese goalkeeper.

Sky used to have a 5 side tournament involving the old pros of the PL about a decade ago that didn't get much attention but this, with 6 a side, slightly bigger pitch and decent international names is exciting to watch.
