If you watched the game you'd know Arsenal were the better team by far, they just don't have any quality up-front that can put away chances. Giroud missed an absolute sitter and De Gea made a few decent saves. I'd say all Arsenal really need is a world class striker - it's what they should've broken the bank for in January. United were terrible from start to finish. They had a few bright periods in the first half but they were shit for the entire second half. That being said they would've won the game with that Van Persie header if not for a world-class save.

From what I can tell the United players don't care enough. Rooney obviously doesn't want to be there and yet he's still the only player that seems to try hard in the tough games. The majority of the second half was just United hoofing it up front to relieve the pressure.

Liverpool on the other hand somehow scraped a massive win down at Craven Cottage. I still think it's not good enough that they fall behind (twice in this instance) to a lesser team to fight back in the manner that they did twice and get a bit of luck with the deflection and the last minute penalty is what they've been lacking in recent years. Last season Liverpool wouldn't have got anything out of that game and it's looking like they finally might be getting that little bit of luck all top teams get.

I still think Spurs are favourites for 4th though. Liverpool still have to play Chelsea, City, Newcastle and Tottenham plus add in the lesser teams that we always seem to drop points too and the fact that away from home we're dodgy most of the time I still think it's anyone's race.

Yeah but your squad isn't full of players who have played premier league football and earning close to 30k a week... its a joke, we're poor as anything to the point where we can't play one of our players because we cant afford to pay the per game money we'd owe West Ham!

Was it a press conference? I thought it was an interview but yeah, that really needed a press conference :rolleyes

A point is what I felt we'd get in the Arsenal/United match.

RVP should have buried the chance but he just took abit too much time and hence slipped slightly which caused a weak effort but good save by Scezney in the second half and DDG made good saves aswell. Other than that, DDG, Smalling (defensively was sound), Vidic (got better as the game went on and he moved away from Giroud), midfield combo of Carrick and Cleverley handled that battle well. Latter I must say played well: he shows more when he goes further forward. From memory in the 2010/11 season, he played further forward and showed promise and the goal he scored at Villa was down to him lunging forward and taking his chance, wish he'd do more often but maybe feels in the deeper role, he can't do that. Valencia, we owe some gratitude but again, cack when he got the ball in an attacking position and killed off the attack and allowed Arsenal to get me back.

Arsenal lacked a cutting edge despite their tempo but maybe a missed opportunity for them considering our poor results.

It's a point which is better than what I thought we'd get which was zero but still demoralising as it doesn't do much for us.

United's defense was pretty solid, something it hasn't been for a while.

Rene Meulensteen sacked - LOL.

Not a surprise tbh. He got abit too confident that he'd do well as number one having experienced success at United and I don't think he fully adjusted to that transition. He's a fantastic coach but management is a different world. He showed his inexperience in media interviews (talking about Morrison) and despite the result at Old Trafford and at home to Villa, just never got them going.

If he wants to work as number one, maybe go to the Championship and re-build abit away from the limelight.

About 75 days. He got sacked by Anzhi last year after two and a half months! But he got sacked after replacing Hiddink and he didn't even manage a game!

On to the next round of the F.A. Cup. Good win against Chelsea, thought Jovetic played well aside from that comical dive.

Jovetic was class aside from the dive, which was deplorable. Good win for City and I hope they push on.

^Well done Vince on makin it through the week of seeing Andy Carroll as your profile pic but felt missed out on more Jungle Book posts.

Not kidding at all and no BS but as the draw was set to take place, told my brother that I predicted a potential Merseyside derby and a replay of last year's final between City/Wigan and it happened! :clap

There was only so many posts I could turn into ones about Jungle Book and there were many topics I wanted to comment on. There was actually many times I didn't post purely because I didn't know how to turn it into something about Jungle Book.
