It's amazing how much losing Suarez has hurt the team. Balotelli looks absolutely terrible.

It's gotten to a point where I don't even feel sorry for him anymore. He's been offered the help countless times and he can't put the drink down. He's had help and couldn't stop. I don't even feel sorry for him anymore.

Alcoholism is a black hole though, it's very difficult to just stop relying on drinking and return to a normal life - hence why I still feel sorry for him. He's had help, but sometimes that's not enough. I bet Gazza actually hates drinking, and if he could live a happy and independent life, he would. He just can't.

Cracking goal by Fellaini just now. Also Di Maria looks great.

I can't believe a team with the attack of United aren't better than they are. Though, it is shocking that they didn't get a star CB or CDM in the offseason.

If Strootman was available, they'd have gone all out for him. Can handle a deeper role but is more all-round of a midfielder. They wanted Hummels but he was never leaving Dortmund. LVG needs to stick with the back four he's got now and give them a run of games. Like last season, injuries aren't helping continuity.

I'd take a point but the with City/Chelsea coming up and potentially two losses coming, we need to go on one heck of a run. Big opportunity missed. Fellaini, credit to him, took his finish incredibly well and played well after the confidence of the goal. RVP/Mata were fucking awful - Mata's stats are excellent but he's not influencing games enough, not precision and clinicalness from him.

I think we have to - barring injury - stick with this defence. Yes, Rojo made mistakes but he didn't do that badly after the goal in the first half. Jones' first game back. Rafael was star of the defence, attacking wise - he's outstanding. I felt we might have done with getting Carrick on for a few minutes yesterday.

Like Enygma, don't feel any sympathy for Gazza. I think he's beyond help.

Anyone remember back in 1998 when Sainsburys did those World Cup coins? These bad boys:

So Balotelli fucks up a potential attack in the first min of the game when he should have fed in Sterling, does nothing of note, swaps shirts with Pepe at half time and then gets subbed. Great value for £16m.

Rodgers would have been better off playing Lambert.

They would have been better off getting someone else instead of Balotelli.

Arenal just broke Anderlecht's hearts.

They'll likely sell him at the end of the season, he's shite. I was saying earlier they should go for Christian Benteke (as much as I hate to say it).

They should, he's 100% the better player. At half-time I was actually trying my best to give Balotelli a bit of praise because I don't actually think he did too badly, he made some good runs in behind and aside from the usual hit and hope shots was okay in the first half...then he goes and does that with the shirt swapping and I'm done. You've got to be optimistic when players first sign but this guy is a complete joke, fuck him.

There's a lot of talk about how Villa are in trouble after not scoring for a few games. Every team in the country bar QPR and Burnley have scored twice the amount of goals Villa have.

Question - how many teams in the country have played last season's Premier League top 5, back to back, without their best striker? Anyone? No? Exactly, fuck off.

Liverpool could do with paying Lille a bunch of money to recall Origi back from his loan sooner than planned, watching him against Everton now and he's looked really sharp. I've seen highlights from some of his games this season and he's looked good.

Valdes training with United it seems. Out of the blue but low wages and it's more suited for him than us because he needs quality training/fitness to get back to 100%. Apparently Liverpool wanted him to do a four day trial so he'll probably sign a short-term deal.

Police investigating Balotelli after he allegedly threatened a woman in Manchester.
