Brucey's very under-rated as a manager IMO. He'll get the best of Ben Arfa after enduring the antagonistic prick that is Pardew as of late.

Wouldn't say he's an under-rated manager, he hasn't had the best track record in the past but he has proven himself to be a shrewd businessman and has built quite the squad at Hull.

Villa on the verge of signing Cleverley on loan.

After last night he deserves to sit and rot on the bench at United, though if this deal goes through Villa are laughing. Everton wanted him on loan and their offer was rejected as United wanted a permanent deal, and if he was going to sign permanently for Villa, United wanted 8 million and Cleverley wanted 80k per week.

Now, Villa have trumped Everton and United - Cleverley joins on loan, and Villa don't have to pay 8 million and 80k per week. Everton lose out on their man and United lose out on their money.

I'm hoping Cleverley does really well.....because I've read if he does, Villa will complete an £7.5m deal for him in January otherwise we're getting jack for him. He'll be off to Everton in the summer, Villa's a stopgap before he gets a big signing on fee with Roberto.
