Martin Jol sacked and replaced by his newly appointed assistant, Rene Meulensteen. Rene was former first team coach at Manchester United and worked at United for many years.

He was pivotal to us on the training field as SAF observed in sessions but I really fear he might get blown away by the duties of being number one. A major difference. Fergie liked him but he doesn't talk about him in the same way he talks of Carlos Queiroz, in his autobiography.

Southampton score 14 seconds in and don't get another shot on goal the rest of the game. That's bad.

Agreed. Last Christmas was anything but enjoyable for me though - December 23rd we got demolished 8-0 by Chelsea. Probably my worst day as a Villa fan.

I know, amazing. Sad thing is if he came back into United's midfield, he'd do alot better than Tom "Pass-the-ball-sideways" Cleverley. Giggs, at 40, besides Carrick, is a fantastic midfielder (moreso in European games) and he shouldn't be

Thinking I wanna get back to Ibrox soon, I've not been to a game this season, there's a game against Stranraer on boxing day I'm considering. Could be good.

I wouldn't have thought so. They were brilliant to him on his last game there and I'm sure they understood why he had to take the job. I don't like Moyes or United but it'd be pretty bitter if he were to receive a bad reception tonight.

Same, Moyes did a good job at Everton and left to manage arguably the biggest club in the world. Anyone that holds that against him is a twat.

^Valid points but I hope any sort of disappointment from the transfer dealings over Fellaini and Baines don't take away from the good reception Moyes would deserve. It was slightly shambolic from oursides, thanks to the "great" Ed Woodward but shouldn't detract from what Moyes did. It will be a tough game, and on Saturday against Newcastle. I, sadly, could forsee us dropping points. Hope RVP/Rooney individualism can bail us out.

Moyes turned it to a complete dick once he left Everton and tried to get Baines to force his way to United to 'move forward with his career', he repeatedly would talk about how he'd love to sign Baines & Fellani then when he'd get asked about Rooney he'd throw a hissy fit, I follow alot of Everton fans on twitter and they're completely over him

Chief football writer Phil McNulty at Old TraffordMan Utd 0-0 Everton

"No mixed reception for former manager David Moyes from Everton's fans. It was a very hostile one with booing as he made his first appearance in the technical area followed by some very unflattering chants."

That's what you call appreciation for a decade of hard-work. :o

It is only the away fans but I'd like to think majority show respect to Moyes when he goes back to Goodison.

Also, in real shocking news, Bendtner scores.

Wow United lose again :lol

Great win for Liverpool but they should still be annoyed at losing to Hull. Sunday's game was the type of fixture they should be winning with ease and I suspect Rodgers will still be irritated they haven't managed to pick up 6 points in the last couple of days.
