And it's Kane who scores. I'd be setting off some black/white pyro as a goal celebration after that one! I still think Pochettino will bench him next week as he doesn't seem happy at the pressure he's taken to pick him but gotta be worth a shot after Adebayor/Soldado.

Who do you support again?

Porky's verdict: I expected Villa to lose and I'm not particularly mad - Spurs are a dirty team though. I almost wish we didn't score so that it would heap more pressure on Lambert. Was funny listening to the commentary though - "Andi Weimann, who thought his goal had won it..." No he didn't, lol. We had 10 men for half an hour, and we're shit. Everyone was expecting Villa to lose with 11 men, let alone 10.

Meh.

Playing at 5-a-side for the first time in ages tonight, I'm going to get clattered. We're playing a team who have just been relegated from the league above, who are currently sat at the top of our league - having scored 23 goals in 2 games.

I'll report back later with how badly we got smashed.

Our team went from shit to amazing. We got rid of some of the dead-wood, I went from floating about up-top to breaking down and distributing from the back (I'm not a shite finisher, I'm just the best grafter. Honest.) and we're 2 points off the lead. Kick-off at 7 tonight against bottom of the league :D

We went from shit to half-decent in the space of a couple of years and managed to get promoted, though now the competition is much tougher and we've struggled a bit. We've been stuck in midtable ever since, and it hasn't helped that several of the team (including myself) had to go away to uni and have featured sporadically since. Fortunately most of the original team are back now though, however a few guys are carrying a bit more timber than they were a few years back haha.

I play at the back too, always have done since I was a kid. At first I found it quite hard to adapt to five-a-side as the best parts of my game were heading and slide-tackling, neither of which you can do there. I kind of had to adapt and be something similar to yourself, stay at the back and pick out passes. As for goals, I'm not a natural goalscorer at all, though I'll have a shot every now and then which will find its way in - I'm lucky if I get one per game though. I scored a hat-trick a few years back and I still bang on about it as if it was an incredible achievement :lol

Surprisingly, we won... but it was close. 9-7, didn't manage to get my name on the scoresheet though.

Highlight of my game was clattering some fat guy who got a bit lary with me afterwards. Whenever he was on the ball he took ages to get it out from under his feet, so he was just easy pickings. I basically stayed within a few yards of him all game and nicked it away from him everytime. He started getting pretty frustrated and having a kick at me after whenever I tackled him, so later on in the game I barged him over when going in for a tackle, full sprint. Afterwards I decided to be a bit of a twat and feign innocence just to rile him up. I should've been booked for it, but the ref didn't really seem to care that much.

I made a couple of decent interceptions, broke down play and made a few good passes from the back. I'm nowhere near as fit or as confident as I was when playing regularly, but I did alright. Didn't enjoy a 9:15 kick off in the pissing rain though.

I feel for Wes Brown becoming a figure of fun with his errors for Sunderland. Another own goal tonight.

He was immense at RB for United during the 07/08 season and last season, was part of a defence that kept Sunderland up with his partner in crime, John O'Shea.

Liverpool done much better than the Anfield game, more energy and tried to get forward. Madrid have slacked off seeing Liverpool's line up, should have started high up and energetically, could have bagged a few early goals. Allowed Liverpool to ease into the game.

Liverpool could take the positives ahead of Chelsea. Even Kolo Toure had a decent game!

Liverpool made a good account of themselves, all things considered - a very weak Liverpool side against a great Madrid team. They did well to keep Ronaldo quiet and even had a few chances of their own. On another night they might have stolen a draw, but alas.

Chuffed with that performance, no shame in losing to the best team in the world when you at least put up a fight and that's what the team did tonight. I wanted them to do well just to stick a middle finger up to Rodgers who quite clearly considered them a 'B team' of sorts and despite the loss I think they did so. Lallana and Borini should start against Chelsea and the only rested players I'd bring back into the immediate fold would be Sterling and Henderson, the others don't deserve to play.

Hell, even Kolo was great tonight bar a few mistakes.

No Gerrard for Saturday? Would be a big call to drop him.

Ronaldo was poor tonight with his touch and general play. Fully expect Messi to break the CL goal scoring record tomorrow.
