Nice job SKS, just stickied. That thread title :golfclap

The Birmingham vs Wolves game was the worst game of football I've seen in some time. Midlands football is such a mess right now - a bubbling cauldron of misery and shite.

Rodgers under pressure - surely has to be more focus on him now. Not just the scapegoat that is Balotelli.

Even some doubts over Rodgers' future atm.

I think he'll be there at the end of the season. A domestic cup win and a decent league finish (5th) would probably get him another year. He's made some questionable decisions in the market yet seems very keen to heap pressure on other sides and their spending (the Tottenham quote SR90 mentioned and the Man United one I've read).

I think he got abit carried away with their improvement last season and the humble, likeable image he created of himself at Swansea has dissipated into one who, despite their exterior, can't help himself making comments that seem abit sneaky with little jabs here and there.

Rene Meulensteen, former MUFC coach, said he should have invested in his back-room team which tbh, he could have done with an addition of someone with CL experience. He's still a young manager in his 40s so could do with some support of an experienced hand.

Haha Jonjo Shelvey sent off for Swansea. Perfect result for that over-hyped bald knob.

Saints have possibly had the luckiest start to the season ever. They have absolutely no injuries, and have avoided basically all the top teams - the only top teams they've played so far are Liverpool and Spurs ('top' being used loosely as both sides have started horribly) and have lost against them both.

Their wins come against the following:
West Ham
Newcastle
Swansea (who played a majority of the match with 10-men)
QPR
Sunderland
Stoke

Their next 3 Premier League fixtures are against Hull, Leicester and Villa.

I've honestly never heard of a team having such an easy ride. However, over December and January they play Arsenal and Man United in the league twice, along with Chelsea once. At that point things should even out, and they'll drop down the table like they did last year. Thankfully.

I know you hate them but give them some credit I mean, West Ham beat City last weekend, Newcastle got a decent draw against Liverpool today, Swansea beat Man United and Stoke have also beaten City so its not like the teams they have played have been completely dire and are the worst teams and don't forget Southampton would of taken a draw from Liverpool had Shane Long not been so fucking dire and to put 8 past Sunderland isn't something you see often so to call them the luckiest team in the world is harsh, yes they haven't played the top 3 yet but they still have had to play well to beat the teams they've faced

In the nicest way possible, this is shite.

- Newcastle were in the midst of a horrid run of form, had some shocking injuries and were rooted to the bottom of the table at the time Saints played them. They were in turmoil.
- Swansea had 10 men for a majority of the game, and it wasn't just anyone who got sent off, it was Wilfried Bony. Their best player.
- Southampton wouldn't have taken a draw from Liverpool, that's hypothetical. If my nan had balls, she'd be my grandad.
- Sunderland were fucking abysmal that day. Vergini scored a volley from the edge of his own area into his own net, in the opening minutes of the game. Mannone literally threw the ball to Saints players who then booted it in the net, twice. Sunderland were terrible - easily the worst performance I've ever seen by a team in the top flight, ever - and I watched Villa lose 8-0 to Chelsea not too long ago.
- Now Saints have beaten Hull by scoring after the Hull keeper did exactly what Mannone did - pass the ball to a Saints player who kicks it in the net. The keeper was about 15 yards off his line when Wanyama hit the ball.

On top of all this, they have absolutely no injuries at all, and have avoided a lot of the top teams in the league. But please, go ahead and tell me they're not the luckiest team in the Prem right now. I'm all ears.

We scored, which is a victory in its own right. We'll still lose the game though.

Thanks Chris Smalling. You knob. Cost us at least a point today. Hope LVG gave him a hairdryer or a volcanic version of it for his brainfart moment.

I thought, despite some sloppy possession in the final third, we'd done fairly well up to the sending off. Toure was nullified and De Gea saved us with two saves. Start of second half, just seemed inevitable we'd concede - our defending was last-ditch and Di Maria/Valencia's defensive work - or lack of it - got exposed. Aguero's a little pest - took his finish clinically.

We should have got a point through Rooney's effort, why he didn't take a shot on goal IDK. Fellaini should have got his header on target but we made it nervy. I thought Shaw played well, defensively. I felt we'd lose in a closer game but still annoying we lost thanks to Smalling getting himself sent off.

Apparently, TV footage going round that Fellaini spat at Aguero? Might have been when he was shouting at him in the first half but if the FA charge for that, should charge for Hart's headbutt on Michael Oliver which any stronger ref would have sent off or booked but tbf, we had a few penalty decisions against us that could have been given.

^ Fellaini is a cunt, easily the biggest thug in the league currently. Remember when he basically assaulted that Stoke player for 90 minutes?

This Christian Benteke looks familiar, seems he's back on form. Hello ny old friend.

TBF, he didn't play badly today but his over anxiousness nearly gave a pen away. At least his aggression is at a time when he's playing well where as last season, he was adding to our performance fuck ups.

Also, Pochettino to be sacked soon? Not started the big white monster Kane and now Ronaldo hasn't scored since Villa now.

If Villa score against you, you should be sacked tbh.

Never seen a team of City's attacking quality look so edgy against a team down to ten men, with two nine-year-olds, and midfielder and a winger playing in defence. Could easily have nabbed a draw with Rooney's chance and Fellaini's poor header. City not out of the woods yet.
