Good, I'm chuffed he's been found out at QPR.
I couldn't stand the reputation he acquired at Spurs for being a good manager. He was never a good manager at Spurs, he just inherited a team that was bottom of the table when he arrived and only had aspirations of staying in the league (so he owes 1/3 of his success to Juande Ramos for being so shit), he was then signed Bale and Modric who became world class players in a time when other big clubs were slipping (that's another 1/3 to Damien Commoli who signed both those players) and then he was exposed when he was expected to finish 4th/5th every year and couldn't handle it. He's disloyalty to Tottenham is what cost him his job there, bending over for the FA and putting Spurs to the back of his mind because he thought he had the England job lined up and he'll always regret that.
QPR was the perfect job for him. Yet again he took over from Mark Hughes when the team was bottom of the league - classic Redknapp, keep them up and you're heralded a genius, get relegated and take none of the flack. He also spent fucking millions on old has-beens. He then barely, barely got QPR promoted despite them having a far superior transfer kitty, wage budget and quality of squad. Did I mention he spent millions again?
Then this season he didn't learn his lesson and continued to waste money on washed-up players with mammoth wages like Ferdinand and it's back-fired. I feel sorry for the QPR fans and for Fernandes who does seem committed to the club and has spent so much on trying to get success only to be constantly mugged off by Redknapp.
Glad he's gone, I also hate his 'man of the people' reputation - tax dodger. Don't expect him to actually be retired - he'll likely wait for the Bournemouth job to open up (Eddie Howe is a good young manager, he'll move on sooner or later)...or he'll come back for any club that offers him a big ass wage.
