Mario Balotelli to Liverpool is one of the worst Premier League transfers ever

I'm not even kidding. He's fucking abysmal.

Brendan Rodgers can only be thankful that his price tag wasn't higher. Balotelli doesn't play like the rest of the team play, he doesn't think like the team thinks, and he sucks all the energy out of the entire team when he plays. He's a poisonous influence. His work rate and decision-making is quite easily the worst in the league, and it's only got worse over time. On top of that, he's been fucking horrific in front of goal and has lost Liverpool more points than he's won (he did his best at that against Chelsea tonight, funnily enough).

Unless Balotelli has the mother of all career resurgences, his spell at Liverpool belongs in the pantheon of terrible transfers. He'll rightfully take his place alongside the likes of Juan Sebastian Veron and Eric Djemba Djemba until the end of time.

Balotelli is a good player in video games because on paper, he is a good player. He has lots of talent. The difference is in video games players actually show an enthusiasm to compete, win games and actually work for their team, which Balotelli hasn't done at all in a Liverpool shirt.

TBF, goal wasn't his fault in terms of a zonal mark but his general play was wank. Why Rodgers put him on over Lallana IDK. Besides Lovren, Lambert/Lallana treated bizarrely by Rodgers.
