First Premier League manager sacked this season - who's next?

Postby PorkChop » Dec 27, '14, 7:38 am

Neil Warnock has been sacked by Crystal Palace. I've kind of got mixed feelings about it, seeing as Palace aren't actually doing that bad (all things considering) and I don't think there's too many managers out there who could do a better job - but on the other hand, I hate Warnock and I'm glad I won't have to see his face on MOTD anymore.

Who's next? I'd put my house on Nigel Pearson, to be honest.

I don't know. At this rate I don't think how well the club is doing has any bearing on who'll be the next to go - it usually comes down to an idiot foreign owner with no knowledge of the game growing impatient and making a rash decision, so by that logic I'll go for Steve Bruce at Hull.

Pearson is another good shout though, Leicester aren't doing well and have the right owner at the helm to make a change. Dyche should be fine, can't imagine the Burnley fans/board expected to stay-up anyway so anything they do this year should surpass expectations. Redknapp is being kept alive by Charlie Austin though you get the opinion that Tony Fernandez likes him anyway.

Glad Warnock's gone though, still don't understand how he weaseled his way back into the Premier League to begin with.

Poor appointment - it seemed Palace got him because they didn't have a clue who to appoint after Pulis left. Never a PL manager and sadly, he'll be back on Talksport/BT Sport fairly soon unfortunately. Glad won't have to listen to his ref/linesman moans anytime soon.

I think Irvine will go next. Bruce will stay on - missing some players and think yesterday's result will kickstart their campaign to get them safe.
