Henry quite easily makes the Premier League all time XI for me. One of the GOATs.

Thierry Henry is quite possibly one of the greatest Premier League players of all time. Easily Arsenals best ever player. One of my personal all time faves.

He announced his retirement today.

This is a statue of him outside the Emirates Stadium, which is Arsenals home ground.

I just wanted to post this picture in honour of him.

Not only was Henry one of the best, but he played with a flair and elegance which had never seen before (or since) in the Premier League. He was lethal in the most graceful of ways. He schooled some of the most experienced defenders in the world on a weekly basis, making it all look so easy. It was as if God himself had given Henry cheat codes to the universe. He was simply a joy to watch.

He could've gone on to beat Alan Shearer's record and become the all-time Premier League top scorers if he wanted. I'd have loved to see him stay at Arsenal until he retired, but alas.

I'm a Man Utd fan but would say Henry was the best PL player ever. He produced consistently and how he didn't win the Ballon D'Or is a disgrace. If Ronaldo had not left in 2009, stayed for at least two years more or three, then he could have (if he'd continued his upward trajectory in terms of goals scored) become the best PL player ahead of Henry.

Still can't hide my grating of Henry with his goal celebrations, sort of that pompous arse sort of face but guess, he could afford to do that with his brilliance.

That picture is a statue of Henry at the Emirates Stadium, home of Viazon's beloved Arsenal FC. That statue was installed a few years ago in honour of their leading goalscorer, winner of PL's, FA Cups and guided his team to the final of the CL in 2006.

The thing is, despite that, France as a nation, don't seem that enamoured with Henry as the English.
