It's not ideal but Rooney tbf, gives his all on the pitch. You can't give it to RVP because he hasn't really been at United long enough and Rooney, you hope, will perform more consistently that he's got the armband. Luckily, LVG doesn't take no shit so if he fucks up, he won't hesitate to give it to someone else.

Luke Shaw is out until mid September with a hamstring injury. Disappointing for Shaw and I wouldn't be confident to say he'll be back in mid September, maybe a couple of weeks after. A hamstring injury is tricky. Always get nervous when a player gets those, especially so young. Giggsy had endless hamstrings injuries it seemed. Luckily our fixture list isn't that demanding so Reece James has got a tremendous opportunity and he didn't do badly last night so excited to see how he handles playing in the PL.

I can't see it happening because Welbeck offers alot despite his lack of ability with his shooting boots. They'll most likely use the money to get Troy Deeney from Watford. Decent striker who Bruce has had an interest in for a while now, if they could get him for around 6 million they'll have done some decent business there.
