Well the militia aren't firing rounds off and shooting at people. The police can't just go in guns a blazing. These militia morons need to be dealt with, but you can't just start a gun fight to do it.

They should be arrested for trespassing, but as long as the men act "peaceful" (their words not mine), they are fine.

My understanding is there's nothing on this land really anyway, there's no people and they're basically just squatting there while armed because of some land deal that they're pissed about.

I can understand why it's not as big a deal in that case if no one is in imminent danger.

Why not? They have no issue shooting black kids with toy guns.

I'm serious. You cannot let people "take control" of property with force without a strong reaction to it. What stops other "militia" groups from doing the same after seeing that no one is doing anything.

Doesn#t need to be a gun fight. He's on camera, talking the talk. You walk up and say, you're coming with us.

They want this to end without confrontation, peaceful talks and negotiations is the way it needs to go. They took the property with intent to make change not end life.

Let's be honest it's because they're white. It's the same shit black people have been complaining about for months now. Regardless of how much some people want to deny the truth. The white conservatives on Facebook were fucking quick on trying to justify why this is ok. Yet black people asking not to be shot with impunity. Nah fuck that those thugs deserve it, all cops are angels.

I have no doubt that the reaction by the national media and police is tamer because the militia members are white. I just think that going in guns a blazing is the same mistake they have made in black neighborhoods and its wrong both ways. The militia members are basically just sitting around in protest. Yes, they have assault rifles (which is psychotic), but they aren't opening fire on anyone. I would rather see an end to police violence all together then have cops continue to open fire on protesters (regardless of race). Just because the cops fucked up horribly and killed a black kid with a toy gun doesn't mean they should just start killing white guys to even the sides. They should stop killing people period, unless their lives are threatened. This can be handled peacefully and then should be the blue print going forward. If the militia loses their shit and opens fire, then by all means, take them out.

They more often than not try to negotiate and come to a peaceful resolution in stable hostage situation type environments. As long as those terrorists aren't being outwardly violent they'll try to talk them out.
