The thread title is in response to news that Alan Henning, a taxi driver from Manchester, went to Syria with a group of aid workers to help. The van was stopped, and Henning was kept by the IS despite the protestations of those who were with him that he was here to help.
Why was he kept on? It seems the nutters in IS, because he had a chip in his passport, felt he was more "dangerous".
It seemed they might have changed their minds and decided not to kill him but on the eve of the Muslim festival, Eid ul Adha, it's announced they have - in the most barbaric way - beheaded him.
Fuck you IS. I wasn't one for war in Iraq III, but nights like these, I hope you and your cohorts get bombed the fuck out so you can disappear and stop putting your ridiculous gimmick providing shame to Muslims who actually know how to behave in the true principles of the faith.
It's put a dampener on Eid so hope the focus can be on Alan and his family, hope there is some fund raising or something done for his family. People who he helped look after during his journey to Syria, hope they can start a process to help his family in his absence.
