A lot of this is fear-mongering, sure, but Southern Russia is bombarded with terrorism quite constantly, and that is where roughly Sochi is located. Hopefully everything will be okay.

I'm sure Russia and their President will do whatever necessary to make sure nothing happens on their watch.

Same was said about London 2012 and it went off without a hitch despite the government putting rocket missiles on top of council flats.
