The Kelly Thomas case is sickening

The beating starts at about 15:45.

He was beaten into a coma by policemen and died from his injuries 5 days later. In the video, you can hear him begging the policemen for his life and and hear him choking on his own blood. The policemen who beat him to death were found not guilty of the use of excessive force, involuntary manslaughter and second degree murder. The case is considered closed and not being pursued.

That was difficult to watch. It certainly didn't sound like he was resisting arrest.

Horrific. The words of a police officers and the police in general seems to weigh and have more impact than a non-police officer, i.e a member of the public in a trial. Just check out the Mark Duggan inquest and others trials in the UK involving mis-behaviour, they normally tend to get away with it.
