Charlottesville: state of emergency after Nazi rally

Postby AkydefGoldberg » Aug 12, '17, 12:19 pm

I've put Nazi in my title thread as there were Nazi flags at this rally and it shouldn't be coated up as 'alt-right' and 'nationalists'.

Protests that have led to violence - a car rammed into counter protesters...

These people are disgusting pieces of human garbage, and yet their numbers continue to swell because America's racism has been emboldened by a Republican party that embraces it to maintain political power. Fuck all of them.

Here's hoping that this is just a dead cat bounce for the Nazi movement.

The alt-right are disgusting. This goes so far past Democrat vs Republican, political left vs political right. They're monsters. I have no respect for anyone who would so much as validate them as an acceptable alternate view point. They're monsters who feed on hatred and fear. They want to drag society back 75 years, and once they got that far who knows what their next target would be. These people will never be happy unless they're destroying something, because they're angry, ugly little man-children.

As a wise man once said:

I fixed that for you. Just so you can understand how fucking stupid your post was. How the fuck can you, as a conservative, attach yourself to fucking Nazis?

Trump had a chance today to take an easy win and he missed. Just say Nazis, white supremacists, racists, or bigots. Any of those words would have made sense and not a single sane person would blame him. If he wants to go after the other side as well, then say he doesn't condone violence of any kind.

I'm really disappointed by Trump's response to this, although not at all surprised.

Imagine if the driver was a brown Muslim and not a young white guy. Trump would certainly have a bit more to say if that was the case.

He's totally not racist though, guys.

So, it's not only ISIS inspired attacks that use cars as weapons to mow down innocent people. If this was a Muslim, Trump would have happy to jump on one side but as it's Nazis who support him, then it's easy to be neutral. Call it out for what it is. His daughter has but it seems her father, who is only the President, can't be fucked to say it.

One person arrested for the car attack, surely questions have to be asked on who radicalised him...

Trump's comments. It's just becoming so unsurprising now, he'll respond in anyway he wants and more ludicrously on each occasion unfitting of what is expected from a President. Weakness from his own party to not take or even consider any action.

The fucking insane thing that keeps running through my mind, is that Trump's response to this should have been a layup. Condemning Nazi's and white supremacists is just the no-brainer political response. As far as responding to a crisis, it won't get any easier than this. And not only did he fall at the first hurdle, her got a second bite of the apple, and managed to fuck up even worse. Imagine if he was in charge for something like 9/11 ... imagine how he'd have responded if the terrorist attacks in Manchester and London this year took place on American soil. This. combined with his provocation of North Korea has shown how woefully inept he is for the job, if he hadn't already demonstrated that a hundred times over. It boggles the mind how people are still defending him, just so their "side" can win. Wake the fuck up ...
