Carrie Fisher has died

Just been announced. She had a heart attack a few days ago and sadly didn't recover.

As a huge Star Wars fan, this sucks. She looked so much healthier recently than she has done in years, and the return of Star Wars seemed to give her a new lease of life. A real shame.

Sad. She'd really turned her life around, but there's only so much good that will do when you spent so many years abusing your body with alcohol and cocaine. Glad she at least got to get back on top before going out, though.

Will be interesting to see how they handle her in Ep 8 and 9, if the plans weren't for her to die off in Ep 8 already. Hope they don't go the same route they went with Tarkin in Rogue One...

Wasn't familiar with her however since her passing, there's been a slew of quotes and tweets showing off her humourous side (similar to George Michael's passing when there were many stories about his incredible generosity) and she seems to have opened up about her mental health struggles which can be respected.

Read online that she already filmed her scenes for Ep 8 but were not sure what was going to happen with Ep 9
