Donald Trump is truly anti-establishment

This is 'draining the swap'. This is real subversion to concentrated forms of political power. This truly is a grassroots movement, and one that runs on the principles of populism and revolution.

On a serious note, it is fascinating to see the alt-right ideologues - those who postulated the whole anti-establishment narrative during Trump's presidential campaign - attempt to explain what is happening right now.

Yeah it's actually pretty hilarious watching his supporters justify these picks, who so clearly go against everything he stood for in his campaign, and who so clearly stand in direct opposition to what their positions should represent. People are having a hard time admitting they got conned.

You should also add:

Head of the EPA - Scott Pruitt - Climate Change denier and fossil fuel industry stooge.

Secretary of Energy - Rick Perry - The man that, during his president campaign, said he would get rid of the Department of Energy.

Secretary of Housing and Urban Development - Ben Carson - The man who has no experience in Housing or Urban Development and said he really didn't want to work in government.

Attorney General - Jeff Sessions - A racist pig, who called a white lawyer "a disgrace to his race" for
representing black clients, called a black prosecutor "boy" and said the KKK was "Ok, until I found out they smoked pot"

There are more, but Bannon and Preibus are well documented.

Or a lot of them really were just racist, sexist pieces of shit that entire time.

It was just easier to say that they weren't voting for Hillary because she was more corrupt than Trump or because she was more of an establishment choice. It was a less controversial argument. It made it seem like they might almost have a leg to stand on.

That being said, Trump has always been more crooked than Hillary - not that the title isn't appropriate for her also. And while Hillary was undeniably the establishment choice, it was pretty apparent all through the campaigns that Trump was always going to put his business interests first. Anyone with half a brain could have seen through his "man of the people" act, if that's even what it was.

I'm not saying that everyone who voted for him was a bigot, but many of them were. And we'll find out the exact amount in 2020, because the way things are going, there won't be any other logical reason to vote for him by then.

I still fail to see how they justified voting for Trump as an anti establishment choice in the first place. Sure, he has no experience in government previously, but he's still a rich, white elitist. What did they think he was gonna change?

The fact he spent most of the campaign calling Hillary crooked, and then publically admitted to his own crooked business practices during the fucking debates, and had the temerity to blame her for them, is truly special.

Head of the Office of Management and Budget- Rep. Mick Mulvaney- He has no experience assembling a government spending plan. Far-right cut social programs type guy.
