Tornadoes strike Arkansas & Oklahoma

16 dead in Arkansas, 1 in Oklahoma with a ton more people injured. Apparently about 70 homes have been wrecked too. Crazy.

Ugh, it's that time of year, sadly

I've driven through the Great Plains during tornado season and seen some pretty big storms off in the distance. It's a really scary site. Milwaukee may have shitty winters, but at least we almost never have any major natural disasters. I don't think I'd be able to live in Tornado Alley.

I just LOVE this time of year. Not to be macabre or anything but I am fascinated by these storms. One of my caving friends is a professional storm chaser along with his wife and some other meteorology buddies. They own the company Basehunters. This time of year I am always creeping on his FB page to see some cool photos and video.

No deaths, probably just an EF2 but still cool to see. My friend and his team made it up to Mayflower, Ark just as the tornado finished up. Video:

Pretty darn cool. There were some nice loud storms last night and we are expecting the really severe stuff later today here in MS. Looking forward to it.

I just watched debris fall from the sky from a hospital that was destroyed about 30 miles south of me. CRAZY stuff, amazing power nature has.
