Hey I love vinegar on my fish and chips. I also love salt and vinegar chips.

And yes I know what a fish cake is and they are amazing.

I am well aware of what a SCALLOP is. Scallops are tasty but Mussels are better. Clams are the best though.

Are we talking a SCALLOP or a piece of shark meat? Know both, have had both and while both are good the shark does not compare to a real scallop.

Not sure if that is fried shark or a real scallop. Either way I am very picky on what I will eat fried.

Nick says a scollop is potato so it is pretty much a hashbrown. I don't know why the Brits have to be different and wrong.

Hash browns are fried, scollops are battered. Think that's the only difference.

OK to run through a few things. To me, a chippy is a certain kind of woman or a way to describe a sporting event when emotions begin to run high on the field. A chipper is something we put dead trees in to chop them up. Third, we fry chicken and occasionally beef. Finally, fish cake sounds equally nasty as fish tacos to me. Never want to be anywhere near any of them.

Captain D's and Long John Silvers maybe as close as it gets. Those are "meh" at best.

A scallop is NOT a potato, it's a disgusting little sea booger that tastes somewhat decent fried and covered with cocktail sauce. Scalloped potatoes ≠ scallops.

The ONLY time I have ever heard anything with potatoes being associated with the word scallop is scalloped potatoes. Is cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes and they sure as hell are not fried.
