Have you ever taken a wrestling move in real life?

Postby PorkChop » Nov 10, '13, 5:38 pm

As in just messing around, or in a real fight?

One of my mates has taken a Pedigree in a real fight, haha. We were in junior school, aged about 9. A fight broke out between my friend and a kid in the year above at the back of the school field, and they started scrapping. This kid managed to get the double underhooks and Pedigreed him, but kind of slammed him face-first onto his knee, instead of the floor. The fight ended there. We still poke fun at my mate because of it, as the Pedigree is a pretty ridiculous move to take in a real fight.

One of my mates hit me with a Rolling Thunder when messing around once, which was pretty bad :lol

Never took any, I was generally a bigger guy than my friends when I was younger so I was usually the one dishing them out when we were screwing around.

Someone once tried to Irish whip me. It was rather humorous. I did have an arm bar applied, It hurt like hell.

I've never had a move used on me but, I got into a fight with my former roommate a couple years ago when he was drunk and gave him the skull crushing finale and busted his lip open.

Took a DDT on a trampoline at 14. Felt my spine crack all the way from the neck down. Stopped play wrestling after that. Scared the piss out of me.

A buddy of mine and I used to give each other chokeslames/Rock Bottoms on his trampoline.

Dude in highschool was on the wrestling team and always bragging. We had a study hall in the auditorium and he would show off. He said no one could break out of his full nelson (Masterlock) and challenged us. I accepted since I may not be bigger but I am a lot smarter. For one I am smart enough to kick off the wall and throw him into a bunch of chairs while he tries to hold me.

The figure four leglock hurts like hell if you actually do it and apply pressure. I would not want to be stuck in that for very long.

Hundreds of times. The most memorable was when I took a Kobashi head bump on a hardwood floor from a dragon-suplex delivered by one of my drunk buddies at a Christmas party a couple years back. The whole room saw it, it was epic. I could have easily gotten killed though.

Another good one from a few months later. I was wrestling the same dude, my biggest foe wrestling-wise. This time at my apartment. After taking a brain buster from another friend (busting me open Flair style. Blonde hair, tons of red. I still have the scar.) the dragon-suplex dude hit me with a glam-slam knocking me out cold for a few seconds. His reasoning behind this is that he thought that he heard me whisper "Beth Phoenix" to him. I didn't.

Don't try this at home, my ass. We all have and we will all continue to do so. :tim

Used to play fight loads when I was younger with my older brother and his friends. Being the younger/smaller one, I was always the one who would take the choke slams, rock bottoms, suplexes and once even a powerbomb... Always onto a mattress or something. I remember we would always stop whenever we heard the bottom of the bed crack. :lol

There was one time, we were doing those rolling pinning combinations, where it goes back and forward with quick 2 counts. Anyway, my brother decided to launch me off him. I flew off the bed and hit my eye on a nearby chair! The pain was so bad that I actually threw up! I had to take a trip to A&E and I can't remember what they said but I like to remember the story with me having concussion, that's why I couldn't play fight any more as I was "injured"

When I was a kid me and the local lads used to always wrestle out on the green in front of our flats. Though we were always "working", we planned out spots in advance and had full on matches and feuds and stuff. I got knocked unconscious once taking a ddt (I accidentally landed on a tree stump), which stopped us from doing it for a while, was pretty scary.

When I first came to uni I had a couple of sessions at a wrestling school nearby (would have carried on if i could afford it), hurts a lot more than play-fighting on a field :lol . Fun as hell though

Because I'm an anally retentive wrestling nerd, I feel the need (and god I wish I didn't) to point out that the rolling pinning combos is known as a fish out of water spot.

Also, damn that sounds painful. Anything eye related makes me squirm.

My older half-brother (whom I grew up with) Rock Bottomed me onto a bed (and destroyed the frame) once.

The fucked up thing is, it's true. It really did happen.

I took an Angle Slam on the school field once back in primary school, that was fun. Apart from that I can't remember anything else, I remember using the crossface and sleeper hold on my cousin a few times though.

Out of interest, was it a male or a female giving you the Angle Slam?

I've taken and given many a Diamond Cutters (or as you WWE lot would call 'em, RKOs) and they really don't do much but make you fall down. I've given a few chokeslams (not the "safe way") which obvious really hurt and are really dangerous, and I'm pretty sure you could straight kill someone with the DDT's I'd hit people with. I was a bigger kid, though, so no one usually put me through any "lift" moves. A few full and half nelsons, things like that.. that's it.

DDT, didn't hurt so much, your arms are free so you can break your fall. Its about as annoying as getting hit on the head, but keep your body up and your neck is fine.

Figure Four, if it can be applied its pretty much locked and you are stuck. It hurts.

Boston Crab, sucks, cant get out, and you can get injured super bad. (same with sharpshooter)

Arm bar, same as Boston Crab but at least its your arm and not your fucking spine...

Full nelson is stupid, easy to get out of.

Slingshot, kind of works....?

Couldn't get the Crippler crossface to work, didn't hurt, just didn't like knuckles in my face.

Sleeper hold is stupid but it can work, there are just more effective choke out holds.

Ankle lock sucks a LOT. But since you can twist turn and kick it is easy to get out

That's all I can think of as I am writing...
