Samoa Joe just added himself to the Ultimate X title match, I for one am so amped about it! I really hope he wins the title, I think this guy needs a belt on him.

But does he really need the X Division title. Not to degrade the title but I think he's a bit above it now. Though I'd much rather him than Jeff Hardy. I'm personally hoping Sabin can regain the belt.

^I feel that he is above the title but it seems like they've put him in more X-Division Championship matches than World Heavyweight Championship matches in the past year or so. That's and I'm just Pro Joe

I'm just glad Joe has something to do at BFG, was getting pretty worried he'd be left off the show, he probably is way too good for this match now, but it's going to be fun as hell to watch

Should be an awesome match, it probably edges Bully Ray vs AJ Styles as the match I am looking forward to most. I am also quite excited that some main event talent are competing for the X Division title. It could certainly help Manik by being involved with the likes of Hardy, especially if he picks up the win and retains the title!

The match already had Aries in it. And Joe is not currently in Aries' league, in terms of wrestling talent or current position on the card.

People are saying Joe is above the X division title, but to be honest Joe has not done anything of note in the last 2 years. Getting him and a few other higher card people back into the X division could end up being a good move for both them AND the title.

Don't get me wrong, I realize Aries is also way above this match, hell Aries should still be in Main event feuds, but I feel they both deserve to be higher than the X division title right now, that belt has been used as nothing but a prop for the past couple years. While yes it may well help out the belt's image to have a few main eventers fighting for it, it certainly doesn't help the wrestlers themselves.

Look at WWE for example as a comparison, Ziggler has gone within the space of a year from being WHC to fighting Ambrose for the US title, no one's going to tell me that was proportionately better for the U.S title than it was bad for Ziggler to drop down the card like that

But Joe hasn't challenged for a Heavyweight title recently though. He hasn't done anything. That's what I'm saying - it would elevate the belt but it would also give Joe some direction. Have a few people like that go for the X title and it would just make the title look better, but given they'd still be working with a high caliber of talent it wouldn't reduce their position on the card.
