ROH 6/10/15

I'm glad I gave this show another shot. This episode was so much more enjoyable than the last one.

BJ Whitmer had another decent promo. I am enjoy the young boy storyline with Corino. However yet again Papa Corino is such a horrible actor. He's seeing his kid get his ass destroyed in the ring. You wouldn't think it'd be that hard for him to get some genuine emotion out. King "Papa" Corino sucks. Otherwise it was a good match. War Machine did some cool moves on Baby Corino without coming off as heels.

Cedric Alexander cut a serviceable promo about how he needs to start living up to the potential he had when he first debuted. How he needs to start winning matches to prove to his family that he should continue his dream of being a pro wrestler. So naturally he challenges the biggest guy on the roster, a man who happens to be undefeated in ROH. Jobber vs Next Big Thing... doesn't look good.

Cedric Alexander vs Moose is the match that made me glad I gave this show another chance. I really liked Cedric's facials, and the storytelling bell to bell was pretty decent. These guys had some very hard hitting moves and punches, with a surprising mix of athleticism I wouldn't have expected from either guys. Overall this was a very good match. It's more impressive considering the amount of time they had.

Adam Cole cut a very solid promo and did a very good job selling the PPV coming up. He is a natural on the mic.

ACH and Matt Sydal (Aka Even Bourne) vs Naito and Hiroshi Tanahashi was next. I didn't know ROH brought in such big talent. Tanahashi is considered the Japanese John Cena I do believe. This match was really fucking good. All these guys are excellent wrestlers. ACH was the most impressive, the guy is damn good. Sydal is probably at his best and did some very impressive shit. Naito is a bit hokey and oversells, but damn is he good. Even Tanahashi had some great spots. Overall this was a very very enjoyable match.

The show ends on a contract signing for the PPV between Jay Lethal and Jay Brisco. I enjoyed this and was glad to see it didn't end in the typical brawl or guy through table. Lethal is so fucking good on the mic, he makes any segment he touches. This was very enjoyable mostly thanks to him.

If you're thinking of giving ROH a shot this is not a bad episode to try it on. I've only seen two episodes so far. I wanted to give the show a second shot after seeing the first on Destination America, which I didn't enjoy so much. After seeing this episode, I don't need to give it a third. I actually want to see what else they have to offer. Check it out! :angry4 8/10

I believe Shinsuke (Swagsuke) Nakamura vs. Roderick Strong is gonna be on one of the upcoming episodes, and that is gonna be insane.
