Jeff Hardy takes horrific fall from steel cage

I'll warn you if you are squeamish the video probably isn't for you. Hardy was straddling the cage door as it was open on Friday night. He fell off the door and instead of hitting the ground slammed into the top of the steel steps. Hopefully he is OK.

The spot actually went exactly as planned, he was meant to fall on the steps. They've written him off TV because he can't travel to the UK which is where the next set of tapings take place. Kayfabe injury but he took it like a fucking trooper because I bet it still hurt like hell.

Looked like a perfectly executed landing to me, back was flat onto the steps as Nick says this'll work him off TV whilst TNA goes to the UK

I'm not sure this was a bright idea if they did plan it ahead of time. Jeff Hardy is one beat up guy after his career of sick bumps. Having him take another one seems unnecessary. It seems like there would be easier ways of writing him off TV.

Even if he's used to taking them by now, that still ought to hurt like hell.

Even if it's a work, being knocked unconscious shouldn't happen.

If that was a work then that was the most dangerous way possible to write someone off TV ever.

I reckon the fall was scripted but the landing wasn't, if that makes sense. Seems he took that bump pretty damn hard, and he didn't have a whole lot of time to reposition himself. That could have ended a lot worse.

Presuming it was planned, hopefully they'll stay away from those kinds of bump in the future, because that looked nasty.

I've seen it a couple of times, and judging from the way he fell, I'd say he was knocked out whilst on top of the cage. He just doesn't make any effort to protect his body while falling, and although Jeff is a crazy bastard, I can't imagine he'd do that.

My guess would be the spot was planned, and maybe he was gonna take the back bump on the stairs like he's done in the past.

I'm amazed Jeff is still alive after all these years. I don't mean that in a cruel way it's just that with his drug issues and willingness to take the crazy bumps.....

It does look like he hits his face on the top and also that punch he took looked brutally stiff.

That looked fine to me, it didn't strike me as anything different to the kind of spots he'd usually take. It looked as if it went exactly as planned.
