TNA kicks out at 2, Announces new TV Deal

(Silver Spring, Md.) – Discovery Communications announced today that it has signed a multi-year deal with TNA (Total Nonstop Action) IMPACT WRESTLING to bring the popular league to homes nationwide on Destination America, the only network dedicated to celebrating the people, places and stories of the United States. Destination America officially enters the ring with its first world premiere of IMPACT WRESTLING in January 2015. The series features some of the biggest names in professional wrestling, including Jeff Hardy, Bobby Roode, Kurt Angle, Bobby Lashley and Gail Kim. The partnership includes the U.S. premieres of additional TNA WRESTLING series and specials and provides Discovery Communications with international broadcasting rights in select regions, to be announced at a later date.

I've never even heard of this channel and I'm sure I don't get it here like I did Spike, I don't see how this isn't a backward move for them. But I guess it was the only move to keep them alive.

Apparently it's part of the Discovery Channel package of stations. I just checked I don't get the station. So apparently I will be losing Impact wrestling come January. It's a shame too. I've probably been as loyal of a viewer as they have had over the last two years.

Sucks for the regular watchers who don't receive this channel. But I guess any TV deal is better than no TV deal.

Not that I'd be watching Impact but I couldn't now if I wanted to. I'm sure they will act like this is a big deal but being on a network most Americans can't even get isn't good news.
