^^ Yeah, I'd take Daniels over Punk any day when it comes to ring work.
It's not surprising that he's left TNA. He's in his 40s now. He's not as young as he used to be, he's been in the game for a long time. What do TNA have left to offer him at this point? They probably can't pay him much at the moment, in which case the only reason to stay is for the love of it. He already has all the exposure and acclaim that he can possibly get while in that company.
So at this point, I understand that he would want to do something different. And good for him. Who knows, maybe he will just retire altogether now. It's definitely a realistic possibility. It would be nice to see him have a really good run with another company first though, even if it was just for a year or two. It'd definitely be a big deal if he signed with Jarrett's promotion.
