It's his old gimmick when he had his own promotion with Matt. Apparently he's been wanting to bring it to TNA for a while now and said when he returns after a while, it would be as Willow. I watched TNA last night and I think the video was hilarious. It will either be great or a total train wreck, but entertaining nonetheless.

This has been allot of peoples reaction on reddit, I tend to disagree though.

This character from Jeff (based solely on this one and only vignette of coarse) is more of a mad hatter inspired insane lunatic than a backwoods crazy Cajun cult leader.

If I had to pick a current or former character that compares to "willow" the closest, I would have to say Golddust / Black Reign or mankind. Its no secret that its Jeff hardy, there is no attempt to conceal Jeff's identity and I think that's because we are supposed to know its Jeff and this change in character is supposed to be his alter ego or his evil persona comming out.

Well you have to look at it like a casual fan and not someone that lives on old wrestling footage and dirtsheets.

Randomly Babbling? Check
Sounding Preachy? Check

Hell, he even uses lines similar to Bray's (not a direct quote), something like "They only see what they want to believe" or some nonsense harpy conspiracy sounding shit.

Anyhoo, to the casual, this looks like a non-cajun Bray with makeup.

I just feel it's "too late" to do such a 180 at this point. I mean, Sting pulled it off like a fucking champ, his Joker/Insane gimmick was nuts and cool.. for awhile.. but even that got retarded, and that's STING we're talking about.

Well he did show up to the main event of a ppv high as fuck stumbling all over the place and not knowing where he was. I read a article shortly after that were he admitted to not knowing where he was and could not even remember getting in the ring or even getting pinned by force just to end the match and get his ass off TV.

I remember watching that on Youtube in utter disbelief! And then thinking how fucking lucky he was when TNA gave him another chance.


Interested to see where this goes, I'm hoping it's good but after watching the ROH video i'm unsure now.
