The #1 Contender – Poor Burke, he can't even announce a number one contender 'cause Cavanah won't allow him to do so and when Cavanah destroyed his office, I said in my head that, that's not gonna be enough for Burke to change his mind about the no rematch clause.

Do What You Gotta Do – Omega sure is nosy :lol , he's all up in people's business but checking up on his friend Daz who still seems to be affected by the loss to Miller, which we could see a shift in personality in Daz slightly instead of the face and hero that he's mostly portrayed as.

Taking a Step Back – Alexa is in her lawyer mode and I still don't believe that Andrew is gonna start at the bottom when it wasn't too long ago that he put his name in the hat to be #1 contender. I think Andrew is playing some mind games with Evans just like he did with Omega & Gryphon. Alexa is in on what Andrew wants to do, she's playing “innocent” right now.

Logan vs Cavers – Logan is doing it again in the ring trying to show people that he's changed which I think is more directed at Evans to show him that he can start his way from the bottom and work his way up. He did show some impressive moves in his match with the headscissors, so Logan does have the tools to make it to the top from the bottom, but he's not gonna want to do that.

The Lone Star Champion - Got a nice little laugh at the beginning of this one with Hypeman trying to bypass calling Magnum a champion. Something tells me that Zaid and Magnum are not gonna function well as a tag team and probably not Gryphon and Omega either, given what's gone down between the two of them as well.

Off the Road - Kaiser is just gonna cost Burke money, which isn't gonna be good for Burke.

Cavanah vs Bernard- Kaiser didn't show up for his match which isn't gonna do him any favors at all and it made me further think that Burke isn't going to cave into Cavanah's ultimatum. As far as Bernard goes, I will hold off until I see him in a feud with someone.

Family Reunion - I really didn't want Dylan to say much in this one as he just wanted Roxanne to explain herself on the Why and having Dylan just still be heartbroken to respond to much of what she has to say. She felt that Dylan wasn't going to put The Family first if he was to join up with them as his actions in WCSF proved that. When I read that Onslaught would take place in Dylan's hometown I added his parents to be sitting in the front row which added to the betrayal and have them witness Dylan's beating, but didn't want the focus to be on them.

Sears vs Knight - BSM did a good job with the match, making Barry mouth the words “We Know” to throw Sears off his game and his interactions with Jaden were well done. Knight continues to fail.

The Lord Sees All - What a way for Amos to rub salt in the wound of Knight by calling it a pointless win and a hollow victory for Sears. Knight is in some serious trouble. Sears being placed in a gauntlet match and if he doesn't win his secret will be exposed. Hess is just a perfect heel.

Flashback - Does The Master have a death wish? Coming in and pretending to be Miller at this point when Daz is nowhere in the mood for games. Do I smell an “I Quit” match that might take place between Daz and Miller? Since Miller is wanting him to suffer and say those two little words, I'm wondering if Spencer wants Daz to just say I Quit or does he want Daz to say those words thus making Daz leave PCW for good?

No Laughing Matter - Nice to see where the J Team stands, being a little more serious now that they've become #1 contenders for the tag titles. It seems to be a common theme that these characters want money, titles, and booze. :P

Just Over Broke - Save Bieber for Miller :lol , that was funny and reading them is a nice break from the serious tones of the other stories going on at the moment.

J-Team vs Superpowers - We all knew how this was gonna end :P as the J-Team were relatively aggressive in their match for the Superpowers to mount any type of stable offense. It was nice to hear from Melissa again, still full of herself as always. More Twitter followers than Jesus, I guess in Dale's imagination anything is possible. See the J-Team were sort of boasting in front of NRC in this match. What I like about this feud starting off is that it doesn't have a serious/personal aura surrounding it like the rest of the rivalries going on which is a nice touch.

Update - Evelyn looks like that she might have a short fuse but given the circumstances it's understandable and it might only be a matter of time before she looks like that she might try and get physical with Miller herself, challenge him to a match, or try to reel Daz in from retaliating.

Planet Orion - Ok I got a little chuckle at Bishop holding the mic as a weapon. I'm sure Reece appreciates Evans attacking Bishop for a spell. I don't know Logan's endgame is in all this, even though right now I'm gonna chalk it up to mind games at this point and can understand why Evans is reluctant to thank him for it.

Not Over Yet - In this one I wanted Dylan to do the very thing that Roxanne criticized him for and that's doing the right thing. He doesn't want to drag the Brothers Comeau into his issues that he has with the Zanettis. Too bad Daz wasn't in the room with him :lol .

Sold Out - Kaiser is just gonna keep it up with costing PCW & Burke money which can even interfere with costing the roster their money, which is you never mess with someone's money. So I think if Kaiser keeps it up either the roster is gonna be upset with Burke for letting it continuing to happen or be upset with Cavanah for costing them money.

Ace vs Valentino - Ace's emotions are a little all over the place, which I guess is what his character is about. One minute he's confused, angry, and then pleading with Valentino not to attack him. Ace's gimmick is one of those gimmicks I think that's either gonna be written well or written badly, don't think there's room for a middle IMO. I'm trying to remember but has Ace's behavior ever been explained? I can't remember on past shows on whether he had a promo/segment where he did. I think if I have it explained I might be able to understand Ace a little bit better. Johnny V continues on with his winning ways.

Main Event - Lol at Magnum tagging himself in and throwing Zaid out of the ring :rotf . Magnum is just too badass. Also lol at Zaid keep calling Magnum, Maggie. These two are lightning in a bottle already. Magnum mostly on his own held up well against Richard and Omega who I thought were gonna have some issues between them but seem to have put that aside for the sake of the match and thus able to pick up the win, so I was wrong. Hopefully get some more Magnum & Zaid interactions.

Wrecking Required - Well that's the trifecta, Daz, Dylan, and now Magnum all needing medical attention. What kind of organization is Burke running. The inmates are running the asylum on this Onslaught.

Moment of Truth - I had a feeling that Burke wasn't going to give into Cavanah. Watching Burke's security surround Cavanah like a pack of wolves is classic. Just shows every action has a reaction. Then Kaiser always has a Plan B in his head and got Burke to make him the number one contender and a Jailbreak Ladder Match is gonna be awesome between Foster and Cavanah. Still wondering if Devine is gonna be lurking around and possibly make another appearance during this feud.

So looks like there's gonna be a lot of retaliation going on around for Daz, Dylan, and Magnum on the next Onslaught given what's happened to them. I do wonder who Magnum would target, Zaid for basically abandoning him or Gryphon and Omega for taking him out.

Good show everyone! :clap

Re: PCW Onslaught Episode 12 RESULTS!

The #1 Contender - Pretty natural place for us to pick up the action this week, standard face stuff from Foster here. It's the Cavanah stuff I was most interested in, as he left us hanging with quite a cliffhanger last week in terms of what he was going to do. I guess I expected something more diabolical than trashing Burke's office, which probably isn't going to give him any leverage at all in the situation here, although I guess we'll see what happens later in the show.

Do What You Gotta Do - I'm still interested in finding out what the deal is with Evelyn. What role is she going to be playing in the Daz/Miller feud? It would seem that's the reason she's been brought in, especially considering we don't have (and won't have) a dedicated women's division.

We'll skip over my Logan stuff for now, but I'll be interested to see people's reactions to that.

The Lone Star Champion - JDD's stuff in this segment was great. Love Zaid's dig at the World Cup athletes :lol

Off the Road - Man, Kaiser sure is a spoiled brat :lol If I'm Burke I'd just call his bluff honestly. Let him hold out. But obviously that's not going to happen.

Cavanah vs. Bernard - Quite the production for Drake's return :lol. LOL, Bernard beats Cavanah by countout? I hope Drake keeps referencing this victory for weeks, because that's actually pretty hilarious.

Family Reunion - I dunno how I feel about bringing the Amos/Kyle storyline history back into this, that seems like referencing ancient history and a lot of retconning for an angle with brand new characters. It also just seems like kind of a clumsy way to introduce these new characters. At this point, they feel more like props in a Dylan/Roxanne feud than characters we actually need to get invested in. I'll reserve judgment until we see how the storyline progresses, but I'm thinking that breaking up Dylan and Roxanne may have been a mistake and that we missed out on an opportunity for the Zanettis to make a big splash in the tag division upon their debut. On the positive side, Roxanne really came of despicably in this segment. I can imagine her getting some big heat.

Sears vs. Knight - Another victory for Matt Sears and another loss for Sean Knight, so you gotta believe there'll be some repercussions there. I'm hoping this is the start of getting Knight's character off the roster, because there's no reason BSM should be forced to carry him around when he could probably start carving out a niche for himself in the singles division (although of course, that would mean the loss of one of our tag teams). I like the Sears kneepad bit that he's had going on, also -- just another unique tidbit for the character.

The Lord Sees All - A gauntlet next week... gotta think that'll be another loss for Knight. Sears's secret stretches into the "darkest reaches of sin..." oh fuck, this is TOTALLY an incest angle, isn't it? :P

Flashback - I like that Miller's not afraid to come out and meet Daz face to face. If this was a WWE heel character, he'd be ducking Daz at every opportunity. But why should he be? He already picked up a clean victory on him, so it makes sense that he's confident. Oh... wait... :lol I mean, don't get me wrong, The Master reveal was funny, but I think it'd have been cool to just have Miller come out and face Daz head on. Now things are starting to get better here -- Miller wanting to hear Daz call it quits rather than forcibly ending his career, that's good stuff. But poor Master :(

No Laughing Matter - A bit of an odd segment here. I didn't really think of the J-Team as a straight up comedy team before, so it's a bit strange that they feel the need to remove that distinction.

J-Team vs. Mega Superpowers - I still love that name, haha. Chambers on commentary... excellent. The Mega Superpowers' theme music is Rock Star?! Oh jesus christ :lol This was basically a squash, but it got the job done. J-Team showed off their more serious vibe, Chambers got in some great lines on commentary but also sold the story of J-Team being talented but liable to make mistakes. That'll probably come into play at their PPV match.

Update - I like that Daz's world continues to crash down around him. Good segment here, it'll be interesting to see what state the British Rose is in next week.

Planet Orion - Orion has been great the last couple weeks. Definitely a star on the undercard right now. The Logan/Evans stuff has been fun so far, and I'm looking forward to writing more as this feud progresses.

Not Over Yet - Dylan's a mad man. Taking on the Zanettis in a handicap match after what they've done to him the last couple weeks? The Comeaus were great here. "You're probably gonna die." Bahahha. I think bringing the Comeaus into this story is a good plan, they can add a bit of levity and it actually gives Dylan a fighting chance. I like it.

Sold out - NOT THE MERCH! Why hasn't Burke gotten security involved yet? :lol

Ace vs. Johnny V - You know, when I saw that Ace and Johnny were fighting, I kind of thought that this was going to be just some filler stuff and that it was kind of a shame that Johnny had lost some momentum since his big storyline against Zaid. But this was actually some really intriguing stuff. Having Ace already be in one of his bouts of insanity when he came out and showing remorse for his attack on Johnny/Gia/the ref, and then having Johnny have to decide whether Ace's snap back to reality was genuine or not... and then Ace's demeanor once the match actually started. Good stuff. Not sure if this is the beginning of a feud or if Johnny and Gia are just floating until something higher up opens up for them after Genocide, but even if it was just a one-week thing it was an entertaining distraction.

I WANT TO SEE OCTOBEAR VS MANSHARK

Hope ya'll enjoy the main event! And HFX, I hope I did your guys justice at the end there. Also, I just realized I forgot to have the announcer introduce Magnum haha.

Moment of Truth - Glad to see that Burke isn't going to cave in to Kaiser's demands so easily. Gotta love security teams and brawls, a pro wrestling staple! I love Kaiser's final ploy to Foster. he knows EXACTLY how to get under Nick's skin... make it seem like he's still in someone else's shadow, even after he's finally taken his place in the sun. Great back and forth promo here, and excellent one by Foster here. And I can feel Steve Hanley rolling over in his... well not grave, but something else... because LADDERCAGE IS BACK YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!!! JAILBREAK GET HYPE YAAAAS

So pumped for laddercage. Awesome.

Solid show dudes. Let's do another one sometime.

I'm not good at the whole reviewing thing, so I'm just gonna put up some quick thoughts. It could act as encouragement for other people to do the same.

- Ace and HardcoreLegend went above and beyond the call of duty this week, so props to you guys for doing something creative with your match.

- Tim has gotta be the MVP of the fed. His stuff is always good and this week was no exception. Thanks for covering the Main Event, you did a great job with it.

- Hess is awesome. You already knew that, but whatever.

- I get what Tim said about the J-Team promo. I think it would have been more effective if they just had one opening line like: "some people think we're jokes, but we're NOT, and here's why..." rather than focusing the entire promo on how they are no longer going to put smiles on people's faces. Anyway, I'm starting to dig the J Team and I hope we can work them into some more promos in the future.

- I was kinda disappointed by the Wrecking Required segment. The commentators didn't really sell the spot where Magnum got put through the table and neither did the crowd. I mean, otherwise it was a well-written segment, but the table spot didn't really feel like a big moment the way I pictured it would. But I know HFX was rushing to get his stuff in at the last minute so it's understandable. I just wanted to criticize something in my comments so they wouldn't be so boring :P Sorry!

- PhenomRocks wrote the match perfectly. So I guess Bernard has now beaten both Foster and Cavanah in PCW. Triple Threat Ladder Cage!?? :O

- Couldn't pass up the chance to bring back the prestigious "Maple Leaf" Brett Cavers.

- If you thought Jailbreak was never coming back, I'm afraid I've got some bad news. If Cavanah and Foster are facing each other again, we'll make it as interesting as fucking possible. Bet on that.

- I wonder what happened to Anon.

I was wondering that too! Shame, I was intrigued in him.

Also, when are we seeing the debut of Aaron Reed?

Just a few thoughts on this weeks show...

The pairing of Zaid and Magnum Phillips actually got a little laugh out of me. Total polar opposites which made for a funny little interview and an interesting match. I wasn't too keen on Magnum getting put through a table after the match. And act of revenge like that could have been saved, so I'm interested to see how this plays out next week, especially with Zaid high tailing it.

Interesting return for Drake Bernard. He didn't really do an awful lot yet it was still effective.

When Dylan Kyle came down and as soon as we saw he was in his hometown and his parents were sat front row, I just knew it was going to end badly. I did think someone would make the save, but as mentioned, it's not like he has a lot of allies... Until later on that is. Interested to see how TBC and Kyles relationship will develop.

Sean Knight appears to be on a losing streak... You have to wonder how Hess will deal with it.

With the whole Kaiser/Burke situation, there were points I felt like the fans could actually cheer for Kaiser and the way he is tormenting the boss. Why would they care if he wrecked an office or slashed some tyres? I think it would've been interesting if he messed with show in someway, affected the action the fans wanted to see. But the ending to the night worked out great

The Shane Evans vs. Andrew Logan feud has all the ingredients to be an epic feud. Great characters and great writers. I'm pretty sure Logan's nice guy act is all a ruse, but I'm looking forward to see where this is going in the future.

Really look forward to the Lone Star Championship match at Genocide between Omega and Magnum Phillips. Two of the toughest guys in PCW going at it in a no-holds barred, KO only match? Sign me up.

Is Drake Bernard the baddest man in PCW? He does technically now hold victories over Kaiser Cavanah and Nick Foster.

The segments with the Master and Sato continue to be comedy gold. Hope they continue for a while.

I'm not sure I've ever read a jailbreak ladder match before, but is sounds like a fun concept. Looking forward to the title match at Genocide.

Here's a few comments:

Welcome to the Jungle baby! You're gonna DIE! I'm not so sure a crowd in the USA would know what "belting" means. Foster needs to dumb down his vocabulary for us Americans. Foster is a fighting champion and it was cool that he challenged anyone to come down and make a name for themselves. Burke is going to have no choice but to give Kaiser a title shot, and boom goes his collectibles.

Omega and Daz both care about each other which is nice, and there's no way in hell Daz will stop with Miller until he comes out on top, his pride won't let him.

"Maple Leaf" Brett Cavers back in action. :lol You almost thought that the Logans would be good for once, but nope, just as evil as ever. As I said about the last episode, I think the whole "is he finally a good guy" thing about Andrew is the wrong way to go IMO. The writing is still good as always, but I feel like it's just too obvious that on one show he's just going to snap and attack someone, which is what he'll probably do to Evans sooner than later. I think he should have just came back as the arrogant heel he was before WCSF went under, because I feel like he's going to become that guy again anyway.

Magnum is such an asshole to poor Zaid. Finny segment here, I love Zaid's humor and I think his douchiness mixed with Magnum's brute force will be quite the team.

Kaiser continues to destroy things. That will surely cost Richard Burke a nice chunk of money. LMAO @ the extravagant entrance for Bernard. Jesus, sounded like a Pay Per View entrance pyro type of thing. "IT'S MUNGING TIME!" :lol Bernard with another big win under his belt.

I liked this segment because it explained why Roxanne turned on Kyle. I thought the fact that it was built for a while was good, and wasn't just a quick heel turn. Kyle gets his ass kicked once again, damn. In front of his parents no less.

Unfortunate that it seems saucernips has gone MIA. Good job by BSM to cover the match though. Knight seems to be just about written off, after all of these losses. I guess with his original writer gone, it's the right decision. I gotta think Hess will make it so that Sears loses next week, whether it by interference if he needs it, but I expect Barry to get the job done anyway. I wonder what the secret is. Maybe Sears fucks donkeys.

I enjoyed writing this segment with Daz, this feud has been a blast. Hope I got the point of the segment across, that Miller is solely focusing on ending the British Rose's career.

I'm not sure what I think about the "serious" turn for the J Team. Justin Bieber? Sato is going to get his ass kicked next week. :cussing Unfortunately the Mega Superpowers lose again. At least The Master won the bet though :tim Daz needs to listen to his woman if he wants to survive. LISTEN TO YO GIRL, DAZ

The main event was a fun match to read. Magnum again being a dick to Zaid. Loved that he just sits there an watches after being tagged out. COVER HIS ASS! Good effort from Magnum but it was good to see Omega get the pinfall. I think that's his first victory in PCW. :P I thought the finish could have been written a little better because there didn't seem to be any excitement after Magnum got slammed through the table.

And Kaiser gets his rematch. Jailbreak Ladder Match should be an interesting read. Last chance for Kaiser to get his shot as long as Foster is champion, so you gotta think Foster is retaining. Though, it would be an interesting twist if Kaiser somehow gets his belt back so soon. I can't see that happening though.

:moocow

Onslaught 12

#1 Contender – Picking right up where we left off last show. I like it. I really like that we’re going through all this to establish a number one contender, as it adds value to the title. I think the championship has been made to look really important, between Daz/Kaiser and then highlighting Foster’s odyssey and the importance of winning the title, and now shifting the focus onto crowning a number one contender. You can’t ask for any more than that. Loved the little touch of Foster acknowledging the fan’s chants, which makes the whole thing feel more interactive. Kaiser destroying Burke’s office in protest is either a complete anti-hero thing to do, or a complete dickhead heel move to pull. I’m leaning towards dickhead heel. Love it.

Do What you Gotta Do – Again, I love tying feuds together with booking, as it makes the show feel more connected, and when you’ve got two characters so tied together like Omega and Daz, it makes sense for them to check in on one another. Also, with the Magnum/Omega feud leaning closely to the Miller/Daz feud, and the Miller/Daz feud being cantered around Omega’s cousin, this was a no brainer of a segment. Also, it works on two other levels. It lays some groundwork for a future main Onslaught event, and it puts Daz around his friends, who can see his shifting personality as he gets deeper and deeper into the Miller storyline … going back to the line about dragging his name through the mud and destroying his own legacy to take down Miller. All this goes to show I think about this shit way too much lol.

Taking a Step Back – Side note, I really love Andrew Logan’s theme music. Nice touch with Andrew keeping his face hidden, as if trying to mask his true feelings and heel tendencies in front of the public. Andrew Logan admitting Shane Evans was right, isn’t necessarily a twist, as that’s the line Logan’s been walking since he returned, but it’s certainly a step for him to say it. Alexa still comes off as deceptive, even if Andrew is somewhat swaying to the side of the light, so I almost wouldn’t be surprised to see them break apart at some point. It might be too soon for a big bust up between them, given Roxanne and Dylan’s recent split, although the relationship between Alexa and Andrew is very different … one would hope.

Logan vs. Cavers – THE RETURN OF THE MAPLE LEAF! Next week, Handicap match with Cavers and Steve Hanley. Logan allowing Cavers to return to the ring and whatnot, doing a good job of demonstrating Logan’s changing attitude within the context of a match. That’s an important part of Simming that people often overlook, finding a way to translate your character from promos and segments to in-ring. Solid little exhibition match for Andrew, and I thought the commentary throughout, continued to help build the story between Evans and Logan.

The Lone Star Champion – Hypeman, clearly hasn’t learnt from his run in with Daz last show. Magnum calling his own shots is fantastic and I like the stipulations added to the belt of his own creation. Magnum is top of the list of characters I’d like to face once the Miller feud is over. Zaid’s interruption and playing like he’s Magnum’s BFF amused me. This could be an interesting dynamic over the coming shows, as they deal with the Canadian Wrecking Crew and based on this little promo here, I hope we get to see more of it.

Off the Road – More Kaiser Cavanah! What did we do to deserve this? Kaiser causing havoc is hilarious and long may it continue.

Cavanah vs. Bernard – DRAKE IS BACK BAYBAY! Cage’s overselling of the return on commentary really made me chuckle. Also running down his accomplishments actually make him seem like a threat, despite the comically leaning promos that have been used to introduce him. Good stuff. Bernard winning because Kaiser refuses to compete is a cool way to give Bernard a win and keep up this Cavanah/Burke business.

Family Reunion – Trying to tie Roxanne’s motives to previous events, such as the feud with Amos Hess, I think is something that perhaps may have worked better in theory than execution. The delivery and writing was all great, but it felt like trudging up ancient history. I feel like you could have been a little more succinct with it, like, “This is my family, you never turn your back on family” Boom. Attack. Another solid little beat down and the Zanetti’s continue to establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Where does Dylan go from here? Does he heed Roxanne’s warning, or does he find a partner and saddle up to take down the Zanetti’s?

None of Your Business – It’s a shame that saucernips has been so busy as of late, as this feud has the potential to be really special, and I know how much work he put into it before it even got started, trying to map it all out and whatnot. I hope he can get back in time for the PPV.

Sears vs. Knight - Again, I like the simple tying together of the two Disciple’s/Hess storylines, as Barry and Hess torment Sears with this potential secret and Knight continues to be the weak link in the group. The match itself was simple and really solid. I like the aggressiveness shown by Sears, utilizing the knee strikes in the early going. Nice commentary line about Knight putting the fear of God into Sears, playing off the gimmick. Enjoyed the finish, with Onyx coming to the rescue, providing the loaded knee pad for Sears. Great name for the knee by the way, don’t think I’ve put that over yet. Originally saucernips was gonna call it the Knee’d to Know, which may be befitting given this current storyline lol.

The Lord Sees All – I enjoy the way Hess calls Sears Matthew. It is just the elongated form of his name, but it also has the biblical connotations which somehow makes it feel deeper. Using a quote from Matthew’s gospel only helps to heighten that, and I’m sure it was done with that intention in mind. Another killer Hess promo.

- Love that the commercial interludes are being used to hype the PPV, as well as being hilarious.

Flashback – I remember talking to SKS about this segment, and where Miller is mentally at this point. Last show, he thought he’d retired Daz and was almost looking past him having beaten him at Resurgence. Then az went to work on him with a steel chair. This feud was only personal on one side it seemed, but with this segment, that’s changed. Miller wants to end Daz’s career for having the nerve to come back after the beating he gave him. I really like the intensity SKS brought to the Miller character in this segment, and if he can do that for the rest of this feud, we’re gonna have something really special by the end of it I reckon.

No Laughing Matter – Good segment to help us get into the heads of the J-Team a little bit.

Just over Broke – What more can you say about the Sato/Master segments that hasn’t already been said tenfold? They continued to be extremely fun and continually creative and I can’t wait for the implosion of the Mega Superpowers.

J-Team vs. The Mega Superpowers – It’s always nice to give Melissa Chambers promo time, so I enjoyed doing commentary for this match. Sato and the Master using Rock Star as their theme music is tremendous. Who’d have thought Sato and the Master would universally be everyone’s favourite guys in PCW? The match played out really well, giving me the opportunity to pick faults in BJ Washington and Jake Jimenez’s game through NRC, which should make for some interesting psychology at the PPV.

Update – This was a segment I wanted to do, just to put Evelyn centre stage, without really getting the chance to voice on opinion. She has a role to play, I just don’t want to telegraph it before it happens.

Planet Orion – Is Planet Orion in the same solar system as Planet Jarrett. Do they share a moon? Bishop running his mouth to draw out Shane Evans was an interesting turn of events, and Logan making the save off Bishop’s attack was even more surprising. Evans not responding in kind sets these two even more at odds, and again muddies the waters as to where Logan stands. I’m really enjoying his storyline right now, and adding Shane Evans to the mix has certainly take things to another level.

Not Over Yet – Dr. Chase … Dr. Chase Meridian … No? Okay. The Comeau’s offering up their services to assist Dylan in taking on the Zanetti’s is cool. I like that Dylan wants to man up and do it alone first, which makes him respectable as a character. Also, the little touch with the Comeau’s mentioning the game deal is a good way to work their gimmick into an unrelated segment. Love it.

Sold Out – Continued Kaiser chaos. How dare he start destroying merchandise … THAT’S WHITE STAR LINE PROPERTY … random reference. I’m not sure what got into me.

Ace vs. Johnny Valentino – It was only a matter of time before Ace snapped. I liked Gia’s slap, into Valentino’s attack. After Ace snapped out of it and headed up the ramp, I think the dynamic shifted very suddenly. Understandably Johnny V. was upset, but he seemed kind of like the asshole of the situation, going after Ace and bringing him back to the ring. Ace is clearly mentally not all there, and he put his girlfriend at further risk by continuing a confrontation that was over … or maybe I’m just over thinking it lol. And all of this before the match is even officially started.

- OCTOBEAR Vs. MANSHARK … FUCK YES.

Zaid & Magnum Phillips vs. Omega & Gryphon Richard – This should be pretty awesome. Loved the bickering between Magnum and Zaid pre-match. They should never ever get along. Also, I really like that Zaid is being put in there with big characters such as Magnum and Omega. It elevates him to the next level, and outsmarting Omega in the early going, even at the expense of his partner, only helps to do that further. Magnum and Gryphon going toe to toe is pretty cool, as it’s not often Gryphon is over powered. Having the bear hug used against him always worked wonders to demonstrate this. Good teasing of the hot tag. Suckering Magnum into the buckle before the tag was great. I like that the announcers put over how big a deal it was that Omega was able to put Magnum down. Gryphon lifting Magnum for the Military Press is bad ass and Omega continuing to use Flash’s moves is a great nod to continuity. Pinning Magnum felt like a big deal, which is a testament to how well he’s been put over and portrayed since being introduced. It feels like the momentum in this rivalry is finally shifting in the Canadian’s favour.

Wrecking Required – This show has been brutal, with Dylan Kyle, Daz and now Magnum being assaulted. I guess Burke has had his hands full with Kaiser Cavanah. Really good little turnaround for the Wrecking Crew.

Moment of Truth – Kaiser comparing himself to Gandhi and Rosa Parks may be my new favourite thing ever. Burke standing up for himself after Kaiser’s mischief throughout the show was a good moment for that character and I loved Foster coming in to take out the trash. Loved Kaiser’s “One good day in 8 years…” line and him getting under Foster’s skin enough for Nick to name Kaiser the number one contender. What I like about Kaiser is that even when things go wrong for him, he manages to worm his way around it and get what he wants. I’m not a great fan of the Jailbreak Ladder match concept, but the way Kaiser phrased the announcement here, it made it seem somewhat logical, so I can forgive it.

Alrighty. I should have had comments up on these shows fucking ages ago, so apologies for being so horribly slack. Better late than never right?

The #1 Contender - Fun segment to open the show with after what transpired on the show before. I really like that there aren't any rematch clauses in PCW and I think everything I wrote about Kaiser was true, if he was so confident in his ability why wouldn't he step in the ring last week? He obviously has a plan and trashing the office is clearly step one.

Do What You Gotta Do - I think it was appropriate to have Omega acknowledge Flash despite not being directly involved in avenging him, otherwise it would have been really odd so this was a great spot of logical booking. Really intrigued by Quinn, I still think she's here to help Daz keep his emotions in check and focus on the job but you've got to assume she's made a target of herself.

Taking A Step Back/Logan vs Cavers - The Logan situation is probably the most interesting thing on the show to me at this point. I've kept maintaining that it's only a matter of time before they reveal their true colours but yet again I've been proven wrong and surprised and for the first time I'm starting to doubt myself. Lmao at the return of 'Maple Leaf' Brett Cavers. Good little match to kick things off, looking forward to seeing this one progress.

The Lone Star Champion - Magnum gets more and more badass each time I read something involving him. "What the hell do I care if they recognize it or not? I recognize it, and that's good enough for me" was a fantastic line. Lmfao 'Maggie' brilliant comedy as always from Zaid, the dynamic for the match later on should be fun to read.

Off The Road - Kaiser meaning business.

Cavanah/Bernard - That entrance was...something :lol Hilarious that Bernard has wins over both the current and former world champion, should serve as brilliant foil for the character to use.

Family Reunion - I'll echo the sentiments of others here and state that whilst the writing was good, bringing up the Hess thing probably wasn't the way to go, it didn't really make sense to bring it up but you weren't to know that. I did like the more simplistic reveal of how the Zanetti's operate with them not caring about what they have to do to get what they want, good bad guy trait to have. Roxanne is a pure bitch and the Zanetti's do have an intimidating presence to them, so kudos for that.

Sears/Knight - The Lord See's All - Good little match with a correct outcome with Sears taking out one of the Disciples as he prepares to take on the leader himself. Enjoyed the promo as always from big Amos and I'm really looking forward to hearing more about the secret. If I were guessing right now I'd say he either cheated on Onyx or is some form of criminal.

Flashback - I think this was probably the most I've enjoyed a Miller segment in PCW. Daz's promo at start was really good and almost seemed defiant at still standing after everything he went through and Miller needed to match that and more and he duly obliged. For me it has always felt like Miller has had one eye on the title thus far in his career so I really enjoyed when he said that he was putting any higher ambitions he might have to one side and focusing all of his attention on Daz. Great segment.

J-Team/MegaSuperPowers - Hilarity as always from Sato and The Master. Good win for the J-Team who should only get stronger heading into their title match.

Planet Orion - Another brilliant layer added to this rivalry with Logan making the save. It's interesting that a note was made of how Logan does in fact seem to be winning over more and more fans each week and I wonder what that's going to do to Shane Evans' psych, I can't imagine that's what he anticipated when he came back to face the 'evil' Andrew Logan.

Not Over Yet - The Comeau's continue to ooze charisma, they have such a great personality and really lighten the mood on an otherwise highly serious show so I was happy to see them show up here. Intrigued that they're offering to help Kyle out, I expect to see that develop.

Zaid/Phillips vs Omega/Richard - Right away as I expected we see conflict between the two partners Zaid and Magnum, hopefully that dynamic is a theme of the match because it could be a lot of fun. Lmao at how Magnum entered the match-up, literally dragging Zaid to the corner and tagging himself in, brilliant stuff. And now we have Zaid signing autographs :lol Lot of good build-up to the finale in this one with the hot tag handled well and some of the bigger impact moves on Magnum coming off really nicely and making the CWC look equally as tough and badass.

Wrecking Required - We've never seen Magnum look vulnerable like this before so this segment was really fucking cool to read. It's about time he was on the receiving end of a beatdown tbh and I'm happy the CWC gave it to him.

Moment of Truth - I've enjoyed how the theme of Kaiser holding up the show has continued throughout the evening and it finally heading to a climax at the end of the show. Foster seemed to be on fire cleaning house but he still has a vast vulnerability that a master manipulator like Kaiser can exploit and that's definitely what happened here. As the Champion he shouldn't really feel like he has anything to prove and coming off the biggest win of his career you'd think he'd be a lot calmer but that wasn't the case and Kaiser worked him perfectly - pushing all the right buttons and getting what he wanted, the Jailbreak Ladder Match. Odds stacked against Foster already, but that's when he thrives!
