Hopefully he comes out in a salmon jacket.

It sucks for us, but it's probably for the best for him given what we're learning about concussion problems later in life.

I know he wants to keep wrestling, but I feel like he's actually be a great guy to have behind the scenes as an agent or trainer, and even as an on screen GM of some kind. He could have a job for life with WWE if he wants it.

If this is legit his speech tonight should be something, not a dry eye in the arena.

Man. I think we all knew it coming, but it still sucks so much. To think of what could have been with him, with the huge movement he built behind him. He provided some really memorable moments and I think outdid what just about anyone could have expected from him in the WWE, and yet there's so much "what if" that surrounds him.

Well this is poo. WWE has been quite dire lately. Been hoping on his comeback. But he's gotta do what's best for him. Health is the most important thing.

Also what's the salmon jacket referencing? I've seen that a few times on Twitter too.

Well that sucks. Bryan will always go down as one of the great to me. The one saving grace is that Bryan won't have the stain of dealing with WWE screwing him up long term. He went out on top and that is where he belongs. It is also weird that he never lost his last two titles in the WWE. Technically he will retire without ever actually losing the WWEWHC or the IC championship.

On a less depressing note, this opens up an opportunity for a guy like Sami Zayn or AJ Styles. WWE is going to try to enter a new babyface in that Bryan type role. Zayn is obviously the best choice considering he is the best babyface the industry, but the storyline with AJ Styles has hinted at that role.

Got it, for some reason I thought it was referencing when HHH came out and told Vince he was being forced into retirement, cus IIRC Vince was wearing a pink or salmon colored jacket that night.

It sucks, but it's good news really. I'm glad he's made the right decision.

He had a good run in WWE. His early release was a blessing in disguise and got the fans behind him, he had a good reign as US champ, was great with Kane as tag champs and was a great world champion while it lasted. Him winning the belt at WrestleMania was one of the greatest moments in years.

I meant his last title reign. The Orton thing happened after Summerslam. His last title reign was after WM30.

I guess it is worded wrong, but it meant ever as in "He was the one person to EVER retire while still holding the WWEWHC and IC title" Probably should have said "only person to have their last two title reigns end without a title loss"

Health is the priority. I guess it was coming but tbh, he's had a good run. In a way, kinda glad he's retiring because Vince would never have used him to his ability, would have fucked him around one way or another. He was able to have a fantastic WM moment so he can put his feet up with ease.
