It makes me firmly believe that for punishment of his alignment with Reigns Ambrose is losing the IC title in a match tonight that gets the belt on Barrett or Rusev.

I don't think he's winning the Rumble but I do think taking the title off him is the start of a push, shedding him of that mid-card burden allows them to put him in a more important position on the card. Whereas they've shown no desire to do anything of the sort with Ambrose who I'm sure will have the same type of nothing reign he had when he was in The Shield.

When I was talking about him facing Brock at Wrestlemania, the one complication I thought of was the fact that he was the IC Champ. You'd expect a match like that at wrestlemania to be a title match but Brock holding the IC title is never going to happen. Now I once again think Owens vs Brock is what's going down.

I really do believe Owens will win the Rumble. I honestly think it's between him and Cena and that they will both be the final two. They don't have anyone else capable of handling that role if Reigns is going into a match with HHH (which he should - more in the other thread). Everyone is injured. Kevin Owens and John Cena are the only two good options I feel. Ziggler is an outside contender for winning but fuck Ziggler.

Like I said in another thread, if Owens was going to be in the main event of Wrestlemania they would have given him the strap at Survivor Series instead of Sheamus. But if he does somehow win the Rumble, prepare to see the winner of the Rumble not win the title at 'Mania for the third year in a row. Owens hasn't really been built up as someone who can hang with Lesnar. He just lost clean to Dean Ambrose.
