Well the Wyatts attacked Orton on Raw after he was seen talking with Reigns and Ambrose backstage. So they are definitely hinting at it being Orton. Either that or it's a red herring and it'll be someone else.

Orton's a "meh" choice, it'll be a good match with him in it, but it's nothing people are going to be rushing to see.

I don't think they were hinting at it being Orton, I am thinking it was more the Wyatt's just discouraging people from joining "Almost Shield". I think you'll probably see them attack a few more people over the next couple of weeks. There are rumors out there also that Orton may be wanting to take a break, so that might have been a way to write him off TV for awhile.
