WWE trying to change how women are featured

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are said to be big proponents of changing the way women in WWE are featured. Apparently this is very much based on Stephanie's influence and the success UFC has had with Ronda Rousey.

It's said that the two aren't UFC fans but are fans of Rousey and her recent Sports Illustrated cover was another sign to them that times have changed and it's a different era. At the same time, it was said to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Vince McMahon still sees women in the role that they're currently in on WWE's main roster.

So, can this actually be done? Will there be a day where the Divas are actually respected as in ring performers and characters on par with the men?

As with so many potentially encouraging stories coming out of WWE: This sounds great! But... Vince.

^Yeah, Vince is definitely the major factor here. I'll believe this when I see it.

Look at everything that's involved the Bellas over the last year. Including the recent decision to turn these horrible, spoiled, selfish, unapologetic, despicable human beings face without any form of explanation or clarification as to why we should accept them as such.

Women on Raw are going to be a joke for the foreseeable future. Vince McMahon is clearly old school sexist, and I don't think it's possible for anyone or anything to change Vince McMahon's mind on any subject. He'll stay running the division into the ground as long as he's running things in general.
