It certainly seems that way. Latest internet dirtsheet rumours have them dropping it because they essentially don't think the crowd cares about it. And to be honest seeing the crowd reactions for their stuff, they really don't :P

Hard to imagine a couple years ago these two teaming were one of the hotter face acts they had battling The Shield for the tag titles.

That hasn't stopped them for other things this year.

Yeah, it's weird. Nobody cared about it, because their relationship and feud was handled horribly until one pretty decent promo by Cody at Fast Lane (after a horribly booked match). But at the same time, it was a feud. It was almost a real angle. Which is something we're sorely lacking at Wrestlemania. How many of the matches on the card involve any kind of personal grudge?

And the fact that they've added Stardust to the ladder match, but not Goldust is odd too. It feels like they should have at least used the feud as a part of a larger match, rather than just ignoring it entirely.

Yeah, but I don't see it as missing the boat...they missed the boat last year when Cody eliminated Goldust from the Rumble. Nobody cared that they split up and nobody cared about their feud/match, largely because nobody cares about Cody while he's making a fool of himself as 'Stardust'. I feel for Cody, he constantly takes the cards he's been dealt and does his best to make it a good hand and whilst admirable, Stardust is terrible.

I'd much rather them have invested in an actual match between The Miz and Damien Mizdow at the PPV. Two people have been consistently entertaining on what really isn't an important part of the show, they've created genuine tension for the moment Mizdow finally snaps and both have been getting terrific responses from the audience. When Mizdow does finally snap (presumably in the Andre Battle Royal) it'll be a great moment.

This.

The feud has been ready made for years now. I think it could have happened before last year come to think of it, and from what i understand, the only reason it didn't is because WWE knew we all thought it was going to happen, so didn't do it. WWE's logic sometimes still astounds me.

I watched the match they had at Fastlane, it was pretty mediocre. The fact is, the crowd will make or break a match, and they just lost interest in these guys. I went back and watched Rhodes/Goldust vs The Shield from Battleground last year, its amazing to see just how over these guys were. Had they had a match at last years Mania, i really do think Cody could have been somewhere near the main event scene right now.

Apologies for hijacking the thread, but the same question applies to The Bella Twins........one minute Nikki's pulling Brie's hair out of the head by the roots, and then suddenly Brie & Nikki are best buddies agaiun.

I get it Brie helped Nikki win the Title from AJ, but that was because she was in a contract where she was Nikki's servant, but the next day that contract ended, but Brie just remained best buds with Nikki again.

And it just seems strange that the woman who is married to Bryan is now a Heel character again, with no real explanation.
