It really does seem like they are gonna just pretend it never existed. I don't see why they need to do that. I know a lot of people think the US title is pointless, but if used right, it doesn't need to be. They could of had him dropped it to someone. Triple H could have put him in a title match and then interfered to have him lose it. Swagger and Cesaro are feuding. Why couldn't one of them hold it, add a little spice to the feud. There are a lot of wrestlers not doing anything. Why not let them carry the belt and have a decent feud with it.

Even if they do want to get rid of the title, why can't they just acknowledge it? They could have dropped it to someone like Wade Barrett. Then maybe have him unify with the IC title. They could have done anything with it.

I don't see what their thinking is in just simply dropping it all together.

The US title is nothing but a prop, has been for years.

Its a shame, they could have played the title into the whole evolution story. Start it off with hhh constantly making ambrose defend it against various company guys with ambrose always winning. Then have ambrose defend against Batista and Orton on a couple occasions with ambrose claiming that since evolution can't get it done with the wwe/whc title that they are gunning for his instead. End it with a evolution/shield match with the stip of whatever faction wins gets to have their guy hold the title. It could lead to an end to the fued and set up a shield split with the 3 arguing over who gets to hold the belt with ambrose turning back heel were he belongs

In any case, The Shield completely bossed it on Smackdown this week.

I think it fairly simple what they should do with the US title. Have HHH force Ambrose to defend it against newly crowed IC champ Bad News Barret in a no DQ match on Raw,where Evolution interfers. Barrett becomes the new mid-card champ and because he is not from the US chooses to retire the US championship all together. He would garner great heat and would open up the challenges for the titles to be big time faces.

I like that idea. Eventually down the road they can bring back the cruiserweight belt so that we still have 3 belts being challenged by singles competitors but having each belt with their own distinct guys challenging.

As much as I would like a cruiserweight division, we have a divas division that is full of runway models who can't do basic moves, a tag team division that no one has cared about in almost ten years because they constantly spilt teams up, and a midcard that has one title being ignored and the other only recently being used at all. I don't think another division will help anything.

I disagree, diva's and tag I agree with though. We have two mid card titles with the same guys (I would like to say are fighting) for both, they just get done with one and move to the other with no progression and no indication that one is more prestigious than the other. A cruiserweight belt would allow for guys like mysterio, sin cara, gabriel, jtg, ryder, ect... To be used legitimately in some sort of storylines and for the mid card guys to fight for one belt, and for that belt to be built back up.
Right now we have all the mid card guys fighting for two worthless belts and a bunch of decent guys being used as jobbers cause there is nothing for them to do.

This really is a great idea, as I fear Barrett becoming the next Cesaro, if you will, by unintentionally getting over as a face. Not only will the anti-America sentiment help, screwing over a member of the red hot Shield certainly won't endear him to fans in any way.
