Who do you see being big in 2014?

Postby Georgerv » Oct 08, '13, 5:17 pm

So we're nearing the end of 2013, and most major storylines that will take us through until the beginning of 2014 have seemingly been decided. So with that in mind, which superstars do you see becoming major players next year? Does that list differ from those you want to see make it big?

I see Big E getting a major push next year, and once the Shield split Roman Reigns too. I'd love to see Dolph finally be a solidified main eventer, but the way WWE stopped his push so dead this year reall doesn't leave me with much hope.

Hopefully some guys from NXT. I wouldn't mind seeing Kassius Ohno, Adrian Neville, Paige, and Charlotte getting called up.

Quick thoughts

-Cena, Punk, Bryan, Del Rio are cemented
-Dolph will have a make or break year. If they don't push him in 2014 they won't ever
-I can see one of (or both if they stay together) Prime Time Players being big
-The Miz may get back into the Main Event picture. (Never thought I would say this but) I hope he does.

Good call. He has really grown on me since his legacy where (at the time) I thought he was holding Ted down.

Cody Rhodes, with his current popularity they would be stupid not to throw him into to main event scene.

Here's a list of the guys I think could go over big.

- Antonio Cesaro (I could see him getting a face turn with his popularity of the big swing and stuff that could let him repackage with a feat of strength gimmick that could do well)
- Bray Wyatt (Will either be huge next year or will be lost to jobberland forever)
- Cody Rhodes (2014 could belong to Cody Rhodes, although I have my doubts that the WWE will ever fully dive into his camp)
- Damien Sandow (Obviously he's going to be world champion next year which will help him break out)
- Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins (Once Shield breaks up the two of them should go seperate ways, but break out big time. An eventual main event encounter between the two of them after no contact for a year would be great)
- Does Ryback count as having made it already? If not I see him with Heyman going places

- The Prime Time Players in the tag division
- Eva Marie in the Divas division

Obviously, all 6 of these guys won't make it in the singles ranks in the same year. So, in narrowing the options I'll guess Ryback, Rhodes, Ambrose and Rollins.

I think Seth Rollins will be one of those guys who never gets to the top but is always a high middle card guy. And Damien and Bray I see falling into oblivion

Anyone from The Shield will be breaking through in the early part of 2014 in my opinion.. Roman Reigns is an absolute power house and is someone vince likes a whole lot. It also helps that your apart of wrestling family royalty.

Bray wyatt is someone that i am very interested in seeing taken off as soon as kane starts backing him up.

Maybe next year Rhodes will finally get the push he most certainly deserves next year, I for sure hope so. Aside from Cody I think Damien is in for a big push. His past few matches he's been in feels like he's too good for the match, like he's ready for the championship now because the title has become a tad stale. I think we could see Rollins, Reigns, and Ambrose begin to span off in their singles careers and I think we all know that'll be great to watch.

Aside from people who should have a big year, I think 2014 will be the year of DB and that's fine with me.

In the main event: Rhodes, Sandow, and Ambrose.

In the mid card: Rollins, Reigns, Antonio Cesaro

Debuts to be big: Sami Zayn (already has a fan base), Enzo Amore, and Kassius Ohno

I for sure cannot wait for Zayn and Ohno to debut, I just hope they don't screw up their debut or "character". Who's Enzo Amore? I'm not familiar with who that is.

Yeah I am not usually big on the NXT guys but I am excited for Sami!

I see Cody Rhodes finally winning a world championship, possibly after a MITB win. The Shield will definitely go their separate ways too, with Ambrose having the most success, hopefully they give him a chance to show of his mic skills. Cena is a given. Bryan or Punk could possibly win the Rumble. Sandow will be WHC. I think this will be a make or break year for Bray Wyatt.

I see big things for Cody and possibly a solid Golddust run. Big E for certain. I also think someone in Shield will do a massive face turn soon to a huge reception.

Enzo Amore is a guy who has very good mic skills. He has a 7 foot tall partner and they play off each other well. It kind of tough to judge how far he will go. His gimmick is a little Zach Ryderish, but Enzo is actually entertaining. If Enzo and Big Cass (Enzo's partner) debut as a tag team I could see them being embraced by the crowd.
