How much alcohol will it take to make WM30 a hit?

Postby Locke » Mar 31, '14, 1:19 pm

I'm thinkin' Sunday night I'm going to be needing a little drink to assist my WM30 with. How much do you think I'll need to make the show worth it? :lol

I've still yet to decide to subscribe to the network yet. I'd love to see the show high def on my computer while we have PUBCHAT NIGHT (wooooo! The best part of PPV's is you guys) but I don't know if I trust the integrity of the servers. I don't have much interest in their reality TV shows and a handful of old WCW PPV's anyway.

I'm thinkin' I might need a full pint of whiskey for the mission. How about you guys?

Some of those might be needed ON TOP of the alcohols. If WWE bombs this one, it might take the cucains.

As long as Daniel Bryan is surrounded by falling confetti--while holding two belts in the air--at the end of 'Mania, alcohol won't even be necessary for me. It could literally be three hours of the Undertaker and Triple H kicking out of each other's finishing move; the eight year old mark inside of me will still watch with excitement as I look forward to what I believe will be Bryan's inevitable triumph.

That's saying a lot, because I've become VERY cynical about the WWE's product in recent years (as I know most of you probably have). The fact that I'm this excited about the prospect of Daniel Bryan winning the gold at WM speaks to the tremendously pure, organic nature of his rise in popularity. It's an ascension that has really brought out the mark in me, and it's been a long time since I could say that about anything WWE-related. If he wins, I will literally jump up and down as I exclaim "YES! YES! YES!".

If, however, Orton, Batista, or jesuschristihopenot Triple H leaves 'Mania as champion... :chug2

Yeah this has the potential to be one of the biggest and best finishes in years. Celebratory beers only.

I look forward to the eruption of angry fans when Batista leaves as champion OR they split the belts AGAIN.

Honestly, I think it'll be an okay show without the alcohol. It will at least be on par with the last few years in my opinion. There's the potential for some good matches and some really great moments.

Well, I probably won't be drinking. My wife's sister just got busted for cocaine and has apparently been doing a gram a day for awhile. It's pretty bizarre because the family has never had to deal with drugs or the kind of bad company it brings, the tweaked out tatooed boyfriends who'd murder your family in their sleep to score some extra bucks in jewels or other easily hawked possessions.. A fine upstanding family now dealing with this trauma now translates into my wife banning even legal substances from our household.

Bummer.
