Just seen the promo, question is how long is the return for? He does not have the fan base or popularity for short term returns here and there

Well the Promo said he returns to RAW on Jan. 20th, which is the RAW before the Rumble. I am really pumped to see him again, I really hope its full time, not like RVD, Lesnar, Jericho etc.

I'm happy to have another BIG TIME PERSON that's hopefully active. I mean, there's like 5 main eventers atm. It's the same match on PPV every few months.

Can he really go full time though? At his age and his history with the company my assumption is that he got a major payday for some storyline that will come to an end around WM.
In fact, thinking about it, Cole mentioned after the promo about his "epic" feud with the undertaker. God I hope that is not the direction WWE is heading with him.

I hope that his return doesn't overshadow all the guys who have been busting their asses to get where they are. Batista is old news and shouldn't be thrown into the title picture when he returns.

Batista, I think will get badly exposed in terms of his wrestling ability and I think he's going to have use his Ultimate Warrior rope trick even more. If he returns as a heel, will be alot better for him I feel.

Promo wise, as a heel in 2009 he seemed more sharper and suited him more but WWE will bring him back as a face as bringing someone back as a heel is apparently too weird. But it worked for Hogan so good if they did for the Batista.
