RIP Bobby the Brain Heenan

Sad news today... Bobby Heenan passed away.

Truly a legend and a great talker. Still fairly young at 72 too, at least young to pass away.

He's had health issues following throat cancer for at least the last decade, and there were false reports going around about his death a year ago. So this isn't the shock that some of the other recent wrestling deaths have been. But it's still really sad.

He leaves a hell of a legacy though. How many people out there ever get to say that they were literally the best at something? There's probably nobody in the history of wrestling who is more universally respected and appreciated for his contributions on screen.

Cheers for the memories, Brain.

From what I heard, he'd had it tough in recent years with his health and has been in quite a bad way for some time. It's always sad when a legend dies, but he'd been suffering for a while and it's nice to think he's in a better place now.

He was arguably the greatest wrestling manager ever. The word legend is thrown around a lot in pro wrestling, but anybody who knows anything about the business would consider him exactly that.
