I thought this was legit a joke when I first read it online. The most ridiculous name ever and everybody knows it.

It will provide hours of entertainment leading up to it though. "Paul Heyman - At Great Balls of Fire, my client Brooooock Lesnar will conquer you!". Someone will lose it during their promo and start laughing.

With the roster only half the size that it was during Lesnar's last title reign, not having the champion defending on brand exclusive pay per views is bad fucking news. The absolute lack of anyone giving a shit about Fast Lane is proof of that. So we have to go through two more of these before Lesnar finally shows up? Fuck.

I actually wouldn't mind him being a part-timer quite as much if they ever actually acknowledged it on television. It's as if the champion and the championship don't actually exist. I hate that shit, because it makes the product feel so fake.

There should be people taking Lesnar to task for never showing up. His next challenger should be calling him out constantly, saying that he's lazy and wouldn't be so dominant if he had to work night in and night out like everyone else. Kurt Angle should have to tell people reluctantly that Lesnar has been given a ludicrously favourable contract and there's nothing more he can do. The Intercontinental champion should be telling everyone that he's the real main event. He's the one who actually shows up and defends his belt constantly.

Instead they act like nobody on the entire roster gives a shit that the champion is never around and that nobody has the opportunity to earn a shot at the title. That makes the show so phony that it ruins the entire thing for me. If they're stuck in this situation in real life, they might as well use it to make their stories more engaging and more real.

The name of the Great Balls of Fire show is the least stupid part about all of this. They've had dumb show names before. Everyone will get over it. But yeah, it is terrible.
